There will be no real commitment to this plan just like there was no real commitment to the last "plan." But then the same answer will be given-- except this time it will be "how can we possibly round up 20 million ILLEGALS and deport them?"

I've read your posts before. I'd say that Bush isn't the one wearing dark sunglasses and earplugs, stumbling around blind in the dark.

So goes the Language; so goes the Hemisphere! The Monroe Doctrine is D.O.A.if this is allowed to pass!

Another thing that may be in play here is possible pandering of Castro to Fox! This could give them the last laugh in the Hemisphere, then you really have something to worry about!

Glad that finally the Reconquista issue is being addressed publically. Bush's proposal will give an open door to these revolutionaries. In watching a video I received, these Aztlan wackos have strong ties with the communist party. If the Bush advisors are aware about Atzlan and their goals, then they are guilty of collusion IMO.

"The manpower, the costs, and the infrastructure involved just isn't there"..the cost to Americans for illegals far outweighs what the cost would be to either deport them and/or close the borders. The reason the infrastructure isn't there is due to the fact the will isn't there on the part of the administration. They have hamstrung the border patrol.

Another aspect I'd like to see addressed also is that we have a federal law prohibiting any assistance to a known illegal alien with supposed stiff fines for anyone caught harboring or hiring illegals. My question is when you have public/gov't. officials entrusted with the public's funds, are they not guilty of breaking federal law when they lavish benefit after benefit on these invaders? If they broke any other federal law while in office wouldn't they be prosecutable or at least fired for their actions?.....what's different in this case?

I agree.. all of this is against federal law.. they just choose not to enforce those laws. The laws are on the books..

You'd think there'd be a way to hold their feet to the fire because what you're saying is that essentially we are now a banana republic where the rule of law is now subject to the whims of those in charge.

I only wish.. but sadly, we've been abandoned. That is why I'm writing in Tancredo.. they apparently could care less what Americans think on this, much less conservatives. We are now pariahs.

Everyone wants to be the last one here and close the door behind them cause they got "theirs". Logical immigration reform has been ignored for years. President Bush has chosen not to ignore it like so many before him. Yes, i'd like for our current policies to be enforced but then I live in the real world. Leadership is tough.

Best regards,
Liberty

Yep -- That's exactly the script the cynics, appeasers, and FR Nuremburg Jr. crowd may be parroting in just ten years.

Really??

You mean if I remove the earplugs, and take the dark sunglasses off, I'll hear and see Dubya proposing to deport and deny Illegal Invaders amnesty? Wow.....
