Interesting--I hope this gets legs, and cuts our O'Neill's from under him.

Good find, and great article.

Pity no one will ever read it...

If O'Neill thinks that document has anything to do with war plans and such he's very much an amateur and ignoramus.

I looked at it. It looked just like a list of contracts/discussions with Iraq probably synthesized from industry publications. It's a nothing...but I noticed there were quite a few Canadian companies dealing with Saddam...

CNN has a poll asking "Do you believe Paul O'Neill when he says President Bush had pre-9/11 plans to go to war with Iraq?"

71,837 yes - 66%
36,349 no - 34%

I just can't believe this.

But...there was a plan in place before 9/11...CNN told me so...

The Iraqi leader was given a final warning six weeks ago, Clinton said, when Baghdad promised to cooperate with U.N. inspectors at the last minute just as U.S. warplanes were headed its way.

"Along with Prime Minister (Tony) Blair of Great Britain, I made it equally clear that if Saddam failed to cooperate fully we would be prepared to act without delay, diplomacy or warning," Clinton said.

"In halting our airstrikes in November, I gave Saddam a chance -- not a license. If we turn our backs on his defiance, the credibility of U.S. power as a check against Saddam will be destroyed," the president explained.

Clinton also called Hussein a threat to his people and to the security of the world. "The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi government -- a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people," Clinton said. Such a change in Baghdad would take time and effort, Clinton said, adding that his administration would work with Iraqi opposition forces.

"Saddam Hussein and the other enemies of peace may have thought that the serious debate currently before the House of Representatives would distract Americans or weaken our resolve to face him down," he said. "But once more, the United States has proven that although we are never eager to use force, when we must act in America's vital interests, we will do so."

CNN

Clinton just didn't have the b*lls to make it happen, GWB did.

CBS NEWS said: "He obtained one Pentagon document, dated March 5, 2001, and entitled "Foreign Suitors for Iraqi Oilfield contracts," which includes a map of potential areas for exploration."

It may only be a blog but they caught that this document is not from the Pentegon but is part of VP Cheney's Energy Data dump. O'Neill lied in the book and CBS did not check.

Hoax funded, no doubt, by the same sources that fund moveon.com, an obscenely rich criminally insane Jewish Gentleman and the totally self absorbed hedonistic faux intelligencia of Hollywood.

These two greedy manipulated puppets didn't think up the
sting by themselves.

And the document has nothing to do with post-war Iraq. It was part of a study of global oil supplies. Judicial Watch obtained it in a law suit and posted it, along with related documents

There is nobody in the world who is as relieved as Paul O'Neil to find out that document is not important at all. I just heard on ABC news that the Treasury Dept is launching an investigation in to how O'Neil got a copy of this document (did he take it with him when he left). The Whitehouse has taken the high road and decided to ignore the mjority of the charges but this document has the potential to be ugly. not that it is anyway accurate, but it does imply that there was a plan to divvy up world oil between the administration's buddies. This charge (and no others- they are all ridiculouos) should be addressed.
