Sure thing, Mr. Fox. Open up your southern borders let those central Americans live in the luxury that is Mexico too, while we are at it.

Mr. Bush heads to northern Mexico today to participate in the Summit of the Americas talks in Monterrey.

------------------

Mr. Bush heads for Mexico today to work with Fox to give Fox what he wants. The two of them need to sit together to figure out how to slip it in to the American people bit by bit.

Open borders? Won't happen. They're much too open now since terrorists are able to sneak across.

"We are not looking for an amnesty [for] Mexico. It's not that we're looking for these Mexicans working productively in the United States to become U.S. citizens. They like tacos, they like their families, they like their community, they like Mexico.

Jezzz. It's hard to believe this guy.

I was looking for the "humor" key word on this thread.

Fox seeks to open U.S. borders

What's he talking about? Our border with Mexico has never been closed!

Unfortunately, they don't have the opportunities that they would like to have as persons, so that's why they move,

And who's fault is that Presidente Fox?

President Bush was meeting with Fox in the early part of September 2001 just before 9/11 happened. Seems like I remember they were discussing some immigration policy then. All that went on the backburner after 9/11. I hope this isn't an omen that something bad is going to happen.

"The Mexican government doesn't like to see people trying to cross the border illegally,

Vincente...the answer is NO. We've had enough! It's time your elitest and middle classes paid some taxes of their own to take care of your problem citizens. The American people are tired of paying for them and simply are NOT going to do it anymore. You want war? Could happen.

I think we should discuss opening the borders with Fox as soon as he opens his border with Guatemala. If open borders are a good idea, he should be trying to implement it himself on his own southern frontier.

Also I keep waiting for Fox to announce an amnesty for Guatemalans living in Mexican territory, and since low-cost labor is good for the US, he should be trying to match that miracle in his own economy by inviting guest workers from Honduras to immigrate into Mexico.

Mexican President Vicente Fox yesterday said he favors open borders across North America

Of course, as Fox envisions it, there will be signs installed on the open U.S.-Mexico border that say 'One Way' and all of these signs will be pointing north.

The Mexican government doesn't like to see people trying to cross the border illegally, particularly because, just in even humanitarian terms, the harshness of what faces these people when they try to walk across the Rio Grande is really, really awful...

The next thing "the Mexican government" will ask for is transportation.

Who's Condi bullsh*tting? Fox said no on citizenship, no on amnesty. He wants everything for FREE. Someone oughta tell him that's not what freedom means.

Mexican President Vicente Fox yesterday said he favors open borders across North America, not amnesty for his countrymen illegally residing in the United States. The alien work program announced last week by President Bush would not encourage aliens to remain in the United States, because they love their home country, the Mexican president told the "Fox News Sunday" program. "We are not looking for an amnesty [for] Mexico.

It's not that we're looking for these Mexicans working productively in the United States to become U.S. citizens.

They like tacos, they like their families, they like their community, they like Mexico.

Unfortunately, they don't have the opportunities that they would like to have as persons, so that's why they move," Mr. Fox said.

B.S.

They move because our frontline defense the Border Patrol has has been and is continuing to be made impotent by your America last influence on Bush and is continuing to cloud his ability to put America first.

This Nation is systematically being gang raped by your policies Mr.Fox and our president is seemingly a willing accomplice to your plans for America.

It must be stopped and this path we seem to be inexorably nailed to must be abandoned now!

Right. Fox is a "real leader"...his entire economic policy for his own people is "move away".

Yeah, that's real insight.

What a moron. What an idiot. What an elitist jerk.

Mexico sits on as much oil as Saudia Arabia and has more natural gas (no pun intended) than Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.

Mexico City is a great place and the resorts are unbelieveable all over the country.

If Fox was a true leader and visionary, he'd dump the corrupt jerks (forget elections, just force them out), open up his country to investment, let Americans buy property (oh, Mexicans can come to the U.S. but can't buy a summer home there...now that's consistent), and sell the heck out of the oil and gas and create more employment for his own people so they wouldn't need to come here.

But he won't because he's a wussie boy and a joke. Just like the last two president's that were supposed to be so fantastic and lovers of the U.S. Especially that Gonzales(?) guy that had an MBA from Harvard that did nothing but steal the country blind between him and his brother.

Otherwise, forget a guest worker program...let's just invade Mexico and solve more than one of our problems. No more illegal aliens and all the oil of the Persian Gulf. Then we can tell the towel heads to John F***ing Kerry off and let them kill each other fighting over Mecca.

This would really stabilize Central America and give us more power over South America and the Carribean (once we throw the Chinese out of Panama - thanks Jimmy Carter for another appeasing policy you girly man). This would help with the Columbian rebels, the Venezulan commies (even more oil) and shove the left out of Brazil.

If we are going to have "war for oil" as all the idiots on the left accuse us of in the Middle East, then wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to have a war for oil just south of our border? The cost of not having to send the military 6,000 miles around the planet alone would pay for itself and our soldiers could spend more time at home every few months.

And Latin Americans aren't trying to kill us.

I've said this time and time again: Illegal aliens from Mexico are Mexican, first, last and always. They have no allegiance to the United States. In fact, they loathe the United States and they hate Americans. But they love American dollars and they love the free benefits they get here. To "legalize" them as Bush has proposed is the greatest insult to American citgizens and law-abiding immigrants that an American president can make. Shame, shame and shame again, President Bush.
