Germany invents "anti-ageing" beer 1 hour, 38 minutes ago
BERLIN (Reuters) - A German brewery has developed a beer containing vitamins and minerals it says are designed to slow the ageing process.

The Neuzeller Kloster Brewery plans to introduce its "Anti-Aging-Bier" this year and sell it in grocery and drug stores, a spokesman for the company said on Friday.
"It tastes like beer more than it tastes like anything else," the spokesman told Reuters.
The brewery said the beer contained a host of added ingredients that promote good health. But the German government may object to the brewery calling the drink "beer" since a law dating back to 1516 says beer brewed in Germany can only be made from barley, hops, yeast and water.

But can it do the same age-reversal magic that regular beer accomplishes? I mean, the lady on the stool over there used to look 60 and ugly, now she's 25 and beautiful.

or Lüneberger or Vogelbräu (little local brewery in Karlsruhe in a converted theater, very "hoppy"). Oh great, I'm dying for a Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier kristall (weizen) now.

a variation of Embalming fluid?

Y'know I used to love the Hefeweizen beers, even loved the darker Dunkel, but the wheat hops just got too heavy for me. I just couldn't drink and eat, one big glass o' Bier and I was full. Switched back to barley hops. Love American Micro-Brews. Now I can enjoy a rare, 16oz New York Strip and 4 glasses of Sam Adams in one sitting.
I love America.

(if I had too choose, though, Darmstadter or Phugnstadter Pils. Great Taste, Less Filling. HA!)

Only the Germans would search for the fountain of youth at the bottom of a keg.
O.K., maybe the Irish and a few of my highschool buddies would too.
Can't leave out my soldiers and buddies in the Army or the Flyboys and Jarheads we hang out with sometimes.
Come to think of it, it sound like a great idea, why didn't anyone think to look there sooner.
I'm thirsty.

a variation of Embalming fluid?I recall my dad once told me that the secret ingredient of a disgusting beer called Stag (brewed in Belleville, Il. near my hometown) was formaldehyde. We always joked that we couldn't figure out how the brewery got the stags to pee in the bottles.
