They're high-fiving each other over at DNC headquarters and in the major media newsrooms. Expect a whole round of attacks on the Bush administration from the dwarves just in time for the evening newscasts.Fan-freakin'-tastic. Let 'em look like they're happy more Muslims are dying under a totalitarian authority.

FNC pundit just laid it out that the mullahs were scared off from the delegation proposal by the Presidents reiteration of demands that he gave publically at the ranch yesterday.
I can see the DNC saying that Pres. Bush was too harsh in his demands, should have played the peace card better etc.
Which is total crud of course. The President laid out his expectations, non-changed in months, and then extended the olive branch to start a possible negotiations process through a delegation visit. But the left will probably spin it in the manner of the pundit.

Iran doesn't want any part of that big Democracy
snowball in Iraq that is rolling right along, getting bigger and bigger and bigger, rolling right into Iran!
Iran want's no part of the Bush Doctrine, but the Mullah's will be unable to stop it!
To: Chad Fairbanks
Since I'm a pragmatic and mostly rational person,( heh!) it's hard for me to envision anybody finding grounds to defend the Iranian mullahs.
But leave it to the left. They rarely fail to deliver, rationality or pragmatism notwithstanding.

Actually, this is one of the best things that could have happened. The Iranian people already know that we were there with planeloads of aids, that we sent doctors and nurses, and if the mad mullahs refuse our aid and act rude the Iranian people will hear of it and be furious.
This may be just what was needed to help to start the process of the Iranian people unseating the mullahs.
This will NOT sit well with the people.
To: Peach
When Bush gave the OK to trigger the earthquake, he knew it would force the mullahs to either:
a. accept the help, showing that we are not so Great a Satan as their madrassa propaganda, or
b. reject the help, showing that they do not care about the lives of their people
(PS that is irony about Bush triggering the earthquake)
To: Howlin
Offering this mission was a planned win-win for the White House. If the Mullahs allowed it, the U.S. would look great in the eyes of the Iranian people. If the Mullahs rejected it (I doubt Bush is surprised by this) the Iranian leadership looks atrocious in the eys of the Iranian people. And either way we look great to the rest of the world for offering.
Way to go Dubya for further driving in the wedge between the butchering mullahs and the long-suffering Iranian people! Hopefully this will provide more motivation to the masses to purge their country of the lunatics that are leading them to national destruction.

All those bombs we dropped on Iraq created a geological instability which caused the earthquake in Iran. So W, in concert with God and Halliburton, have caused this unilateral attack on Iran's tectonic plates, and he didn't even have the decency to go to the UN. No wonder everybody hates us!
Yeah.....that's the ticket!

I've been wondering when the term "asshat" would show up on FR. (I know it from Fark.com, but have seen it on slashdot and elsewhere.) I'm pretty sure the Admin Mods would not allow it to be directed at a fellow Freeper, but in this context it seems OK.
Ruling, AM?
