Ridge is exactly 100% right.>>>>>>>>

Amnesty & strict enforcement *obviously* hasn't worked since 1986.

What makes you think 'the same game-plan' will work this time ???

the Hispanic votes he hopes to gain.

Yeah. What hispanic votes? Any citizen who thinks of himself as Mexican first, American second, is already a Democrat. These illegals only vote where the Democratic machine walks them through the system, as in San Diego. And you can't win a war of handouts with the left...

This Hispandering is going to lead to a large net loss of votes. All because some businesses was cheap, low-quality (and disposable) labour.

If there was one issue that'd make me stay home in Nov/04, this is it.

I can't avoid this elephant in my living room--the refusal of the Bush admin to enforce our generous immigration laws is a disgrace and a betrayal.

"A nation without border controls, is NOT A NATION!"

That's exactly the point. They want to end America as a nation, and merge us with Mexico and Canada; and eventually the rest of the world.

Ridge has also admitted # of illegals could be 20,000,000..worst case scenario.

Our federal government has truely become a disgrace the last ten years on this matter starting with Clinton. I have to admit that I knew Bush was pro-illegal immigrant when I was voting for him in 2000 but I figured Gore was alot worse. Sometimes looking back I wish I would have voted for the "unmentionial Reform Party canidate".

Mo? Are you willing to write Tancredo's name in come primary?

First off, the primary here in Mo. is in a state of limbo. We're suppose to have a primary but the state legislature hasn't allocated any money to it. If I have to go to the Republican caucus, I would but I don't know much about that. 2nd, I would like to know more about those no-name republicans running against Bush in the general primary.

If all else fails and our backs are against the wall, I too will be writing Tom Tancredo's name in.

I posted much on FAIR here:

What's FAIR? FAIR, the national media watch group, has been offering well-documented criticism of media bias and censorship since 1986. We work to invigorate the First Amendment by advocating for greater diversity in the press and by scrutinizing media practices that marginalize public interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints. As an anti-censorship organization, we expose neglected news stories and defend working journalists when they are muzzled. As a progressive group, FAIR believes that structural reform is ultimately needed to break up the dominant media conglomerates, establish independent public broadcasting and promote strong non-profit sources of information.

Not the same FAIR. The one that relates to this issue is found at www.fairus.org. It is the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

Our gov't is DISCRIMINATING against the legal immigrants, by continuing with the amnesties for the illegals. Maybe the legals can sue the gov't into enforcing our immigration laws. I hope they WIN.

Catchy name and easy for a write-in : Tom Tancredo ;)

An open letter to Tom Ridge...add to it, pass it on and use it for your letter.

Dear Secretary Ridge, Any Immigration Reform must start with Law and Order. What you propose is a recipe for immediate chaos. Those who have entered the country legally with Green cards or visas are within the law. Those who aren’t, have broken the law, they are already felons and that is no way to start life in the United States.

By giving them amnesty carte blanche you are making a mockery of American Law. The following rules or something like them must be passed into law by the CONGRESS and must have Teeth before any action for amnesty can be started or even contemplated.

1. Stop all immigration for a period of 1 year.
2. Those already here MUST apply for a Green Card.
3. They cannot become an American citizen for 2 years.
4. They cannot VOTE for at least 3 years.
5. They must have an address current for 2 years
6. They must pay taxes for the years they have worked here.
7. They cannot receive SS until they are citizens for 2 years.
8. They MUST contact the INS and the state they reside in twice a year as to their residence and the place where they work.
9. No Welfare will be available for 2 years.
10. If they need assistance, they are not working.
11. Crimes will be paid by being deported on the first conviction...not the second or third...on the first conviction deportation will be immediate!

Sincerely yours,
American Citizens

This is what it seems to be about --- and ending of the USA and the Constitution and a creation of something else. It isn't about votes --- that makes no sense at all because it isn't Republicans moving in. We're not considering sending the Mexican government all that money from Social Security for votes.
