The Palm Beach State Attorney is a notorious Clinton Demoncrat. He jumped all over Rush's housekeeper as his star witness at the beginning of the story. Now that he found out his star witness was blackmailing Rush for $4 million dollars, he moved on to the doctor shopping investigation. With the doctor shopping deal, he won't have to call the blackmailer as a witness. Only the doctors and Rush's medical records.

Even if he is "letter of the law guilty" he is being prosecuted by sworn enemies of conservatism.

If Kobie Bryant's accuser can keep her medical records secret then so should Rush Limbaugh keep his secret! One major difference--Rush is being accused of a crime. The rape victim in the Bryant case is not the one being prosecuted for a crime.
I listen to Rush as often as I can. Nobody does talk radio better than Rush. I like the man. I really missed him when he was in drug-rehab.
But what he did was wrong. I think he is taking personal responsibility for what he did, and that is a good thing.

Note the post up the thread about someones' junkie father (friends') who with several arrests has never seen jail. Having been on a grand jury for two months, and seen how many of the indictments had "drug court eligible" stamped on them (ie no jail time) for people with previous drug arrests - and we're talking meth here, not pain pills - Rush is not only NOT getting preferential treatment, they're hunting him down.
He may be protecting someone. On one of the threads I read that he went to rehab with someone. Could be rumor, it was from some other news source.

...but who is running the legal maneuverings against Rush; the loser Dems down there or the Repubs? The answer to that seems fairly obvious to me.

Proof positive that his sworn enemies are out to get him.
Movie stars who not only took coke and heroin but also SOLD it had to do it 2 or 3 times before they saw jail time. This is retribution, pure and simple.

I still think Rush is covering for his wife - maybe they both have a problem.

Wow, which Movie Stars were those? Which cases, and when?

So what if they are his enemies. that happens everyday. That's what we have grand juries, trials and juries for. If there's nothing to prosecute, then it will fall flat on it's face.

I'll have to remember that if I'm ever caught with a large amount of illegal drugs. "Intent to deliver? Oh my no, I never intended to sell them". That one will play real well in courts all over the country. Not.
Yeah, LOL!
To: little jeremiah
LJ, I'll make a bet with you. My money is on Rush getting a deal with the DA, his records will stay sealed and he wont do a day in jail. Wanna bet?
If it were me or you in his position I doubt we would fare as well.

The point is the blackmailer gave Rush to the Palm Beach State Attorney. Should prosecutors collaborate with blackmailers?
