In a blistering critique of the commander in chief, Clark said that "capturing Saddam Hussein doesn't change the fact that Osama bin Laden is still on the loose."

"If I'd been president, I would have had Osama bin Laden by this time," Clark said at a news conference in Concord, New Hampshire, where he was campaigning for votes in the nation's first primary, January 27.

any statement that includes the words "I would have" can never be proven to be either true or false,

Here's what I've been wondering. Why do they keep saying "we were told" this and "we were told" that. They always use the passive voice like the classic "mistakes were made". I think it is because that way if they are really pushed to the mat they can say "well it wasn't Bush that told us". Any other ideas?

Anybody see the Jesus of Nazarath mini-series? The guy who plays Jesus never blinks. Makes him appear sort of other worldly. I especially like the bright red lipstick that Clark puts on his thin bloodless lips when he goes on TV.
