To me, from these photos, I'd guess Saddam is in better health now than he was before the war. Looks like his diet has improved -- whole foods, fresh veggies. He's a strange man with a lot of different motivations, obviously. Dresses like a Tuscany sportsman, likes American fanstasy art, likes old biblical themes, eats the mediterrean diet, and is a ruthless murderer and despotic ruler.

Re: those pro-Saddam rallies. The
NY Times reports...
In Tikrit, about 700 people rallied in the center of town Monday chanting ``Saddam is in our hearts, Saddam is in our blood.'' U.S. soldiers and Iraqi policemen yelled back: ``Saddam is in our jail.''

Awesome pictures. But after looking at them, I have to wonder...is there anybody in Iraq that DOESN'T own an AK?

Hm.
While it's good to see Iraqis happy at the news, it is a sick culture that has the men over on one side shooting bullets into the air (which come down and kill/hurt lots of people) and on the other side clueless women sliding their tongues in and out of their mouths "ulululating" (or whatever it's called) like dumb puppies.
Crass, yes, but it does seem like a 5th Century culture....

Thanks Diogenesis,
Bookmarked forever! I can stomach all the Pali's et al spewing their hate, but the photo which angers me the most is Kofi Annan. I am more determined than ever to work to see the end of the United Nations, or at least our participation therein....
