Posted on 12/15/2003 10:30:42 AM PST by ConservativeMan55
Rush is quoting posters from DU again. They're server crashed!
He was quoting about how posters thought Bush was more of a danger than Saddam!

"I thought 'All Your Bases Are Belong To Us' came from a Japanese cartoon."
"All your base (not bases) are belong to us" came from the mistranslated introduction of the Sega Genesis side-scrolling shooter (not to be confused with first-person shooter ala Doom and Quake) Zero Wing. The game was terrible in its own right, but the hilarious introduction has existed for years. It was popularized by a Flash cartoon which doctored a bunch of pictures inserting the phrase to techno music where the phrase was constantly spit out by the computerized voice.
So there you go. Personally, I'm waiting for Final Fantasy Tactics' "I got a good feeling!" to catch on with self-help books...
Oh yeah, DUmmies--hah!

What a bunch of whiners. But they are entertaining to read in a perverse warped intoxicated on paint thinner kind of way.

4. well...I guess I'm "supposed" to feel good about this
Because he is a <repeat like the good sheep that I am> "brutal dictator" who "killed thousands of his own people."
But he was also a guy who posed no threat to us. And a guy who managed to keep a hostile area of the world relatively sedate (albeith through brutal tactics). And a guy who was a secular muslim leader instead of a hardcore fundamentalist.
But I think in cold, crass political terms. I think it's good for Bush so I think it's bad for me. So I'm not happy, and I don't care if it's politically incorrect to say so.

If you think about it. As long as America prospers they will never get their way. Its not about policy to these people, its about power.
