The left wing press didn't cover the "anti-terrorist" marches in Iraq just last week...
Guess they can't ignore this! Jerks, a-holes, America hating whores, money grubbing hypocrites, pieces of scum.

Seems like what they leftist media do is to attack the government whenever possible, and when it is impossible, like now, they try to get someone to give up something confidential, or say something that they can be attacked for.

Behave at DU? too late for that, I picked these up within the first hour of the news:
A quick review of DU to get the early DNC position (Know thy enemy). Some early exceprts:
-- Well, I might as well go back to bed now. This is all they'll be talking about on the Sunday news, and Bush will be praised all day. I'm happy for the Iraqis, if this is the truth. But even if he's captured, it's still far from over.
-- So if true, it was the Kurds that got him and told the world, not the US troops and the Pentagon media whores reporting. Hmm... but the US will claim the capture.
-- Would Saddam be so foolish as to take refuge in Tikrit? Have they already had him in custody for some time time and are just now announcing it for some political purpose? Why was he captured and not killed like his two sons? This is the beginning of the 2004 presidential race... could there be some political advantage to Bush at this time?
-- They still haven't found Bin-Laden so it would suprise me if they actually found Saddam.
-- Are they going to let him get to trial and let him tell his story and implicate some Bush adminstration people? Or, is there going to be some kind of accident?
-- He's got serious dirt on people. Seriously- don't bet on him making it to trial, IF they let the Hague get ahold of him in the first place (even though he CLEARLY should be there- the US has no jurisdiction over his war crimes). On edit: Man, that would be great if he could take down some of Bushco with him.
-- We've now apparently captured the problem we helped create.
-- Is there some anti-Bush angle to this that we've been missing?
-- Well, outside of the fact that nothing about Hussein's capture changes the ill will felt towards America for our unilateral action, all the dead Iraqi civilians, the dead American soldiers, the crumbling infrastructure and so on, and will likely do little to curb the violence in the country...then no, there's no anti-Bush angle to it.
-- CNN anchor says that while the capture of Saddam Hussein will likely play very well in the United States, it probably won't make a hill of beans to the Iraqis.
-- At least the buzz of this will have cooled-down by the time Nov 2 rolls around again.
-- Mixed blessing, I'm glad Saddam has been captured, but I don't think we'll ever hear the end of this from the repugs. I'm dreading the next few weeks.

My hubby thought the same thing. He gave up without a fight, hiding like a coward in a little hole.

LOL@DU
Unfortunately, bitterness, cynicism and vile behavior is very core of a leftist's vestigial heart.
Good luck trying to hide their true nature.

Wow, that video they took of a sheep-like Saddam is devasting, plus the fact that he gave up without a fight. Darn, he can't fight any better than than his army. And hiding in that spider hole......I can hear the spin already that he wasn't in the hole, that's an American propaganda attempt at further humiliation of him. But after watching 20+ reruns of him with his mouth wide open with the doctor probing around - and he's not wounded at all - well, al Jeezarz is NOT going to like it!:D And the Arab world will feel even more emasculated, because they can't take care of their own problems, somebody else has to step in.
The thing that bothered me at the press conference was the obvious eagerness of the Iraqis to have Saddam tried by Iraqis in Iraq, and they kept trying to pin Gen. Sanchez down on a firm answer. And he just kept saying that it hadn't been determined yet. He wouldn't promise them anything except a trial, with any more comment. I'd bet anything that months down the road when Iraq has it's government and judiciary going that we'll hand 'em over. But only after we can be sure they can handle it. But the average Iraqi isn't happy to hear the American general not denying that Saddam could get an American trial.

I'm so amazed to see the Iraqi people celebrating - as we thought they'd celebrate when we liberated them. Obviously those who said they'd be living in fear as long as they thought Saddam might come back were correct.

CBS, DAN Rather, said that Saddam was so influential all over the Muslim world, hard to tell what the results of his capture will be.
Rather looked rather haggard and sad that his BUDDY had been captured...David Marin, National Security Correspondent for CBS, is now speaking in a rather bored voice, describing how the 4th and Special Ops got the tip. DELTA commandos involved in the actual capture.
Tip said SH was in One of two locations, troops surrounded and at noon local time, they searched both locations with NO results.
A cordon was thrown up around both locations, and searched a MUD HUT, inside was a "spider hole" that contained Saddam. NO SHOTS FIRED.
Saddam in good health, cooperative and TALKATIVE...
NBC Jim Miklascewski?, saying, 600 troops involved, "crude lean-to", with two other Iraqi's. Clearly Saddam "on the run"...found $750,000 on him when captured. AlDhouri is said by NBC to be the REAL man in charge of the insurgency, and attacks in US will NOT stop...now over to Campbell Brown and her tight sweater...
Over on ABC--Charley and Brian Ross--they say they looked into Saddams mouth for cyanide pills in his teeth. They were also surprised that Saddam didn't have an explosive belt on. They keep saying he was hiding in a "MUD HOLE"...(HAHAHAHA).
CSPAN NOW...Oakland Caller, "totally gratuitus" that US people accepting this, horrible human, but totally disgusting how US are behind this in an "OCCULT" kind of way.
West Va. War a NECESSARY thing, sons in Marines...no more oppressive person than Saddam.
Next antiwar caller...Military MUST do as they say. Saw Bremer's candy cane and thought something GOOD was up. Now saying that capture a GOOD thing. A coup for BUSH!!
Citing "Echelon" as intelligence gathering from satellites?
BBC World News Radio=LIVE--guns shots in Baghdad celebrating the capture. Played Bremer saying "WE GOT HIM"...cheers of journalists in the background. Town of ADWAR. Celebrations in Baghdad...failure to capture Saddam was an embarrasment to USA, but it was up to IRAQI people to decide what to do with SH. Leader of Iraqi Natl Congress saying that SH will be tried in Iraqi court when US turns him over to them.
Gotta love it, today is a GREAT DAY!
GRRRRRRollin' FOR the USA and our HONORABLE Pres. Bush!

President has cancelled his trip to church. Angle says it's hard to imagine he won't say something. Angle said it was cancelled because of the weather but he also thinks that the President didn't want to get out of the limo and field questions.

"More importantly, does the DNC have enough time to fax out new talking points before the morning talking head shows, or will they all be working with Friday eve's script, 'We still haven't captured Saddam Hussien or Osama!'"
New DNC talking points? I'm betting the following:
- This is a golden opportunity for the Bush administration to solidify international support by turning Hussein over to the UN for subsequent release in the nation of his choice.
- If George Bush had not cut taxes on the wealthy, we would have captured Hussein months ago.
- The Bush administration must immediately answer serious questions that certain environmental regulations were violated during Saddam's capture.
