Any comment to add to your posted article?
I think that the headline is ridiculous.

It should be noted that this was a letter to the editor, not something the Journal authored.

The crap letter to the editor doesn't deserve to be posted. The guy obviously hates Rush and is just spewing crap.

To think the prosecutor is investigating whether there is any evidence to support a charge before filing charges? Outrageous! Where's a rope?

Rush deserves to be honest with himself and use the protections of the law like everyone else.

This person is obviously uniformed about pain medication. Those who take it regularly, especially those in pain, are NOT higher than a kite. That is a misconception. (in this case, more like a lie). Your body grows used to it, you function normally with it. He should get his facts straight before he makes such slanderous remarks.

Clever letter. Thru innuendo, he is trying to associate Rush with crooked mutual fund managers. He is implying that Rush is STILL on the drugs. He wants us to think that Rush committed a felony. He can't resist reminding us of Jeb Bush's daughter's prosecution.
The letter is worth examining for the typical leftist tactics that it uses to destroy someone while avoiding legal problems.
There will be a lot more like that between now and the election.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Another one of the left's dim bulbs spews his anger at Rush for being a success while leftist radio falls flat on its face. LOL!

Just from a prosecutorial standpoint...did anybody actually catch Rush with illegal drugs on him or in the process of purchasing them? And if all we have is a tape recording of Rush asking for pain-killers, is that even a crime? Hell, using the Linda Tripp model, the housekeeper who did the recording may be more guilty of a crime than Rush, since no one has confirmed this was a police operation. While Rush has admitted to taking pain-killers and having an addiction, doesn't there have to be some evidence that a crime was committed? This wasn't a typical drug-bust...and in that light, I don't see how Rush is recieving preferential treatment.

Rush poses as a role model for young conservatives. What sort of example has he set? The example of: "Don't get hooked on prescription drugs." -Tom

Don't mess with Rush. I and other Philadelphia Eagles fans owe that man a great debt of gratitude. The NFC has just voted Donovan McNabb its outstanding offensive player for the month of November, and in fact McNabb has been playing lights out football ever since Rush did his little foot-in-mouth tap dance on him. Way to go, big guy. We may be back to you for some more commentary as we get closer to the playoffs. Donovan may need another shot in the arm (or whatever other anatomical point works best).

Say, we're prosecuting radio personalities, we're prosecuting businessmen and we're prosecuting ordinary citizens...when are we going to be prosecuting government officials? Corrupt judges. Senators who have violated their oath of office. Police who fabricate evidence. Political operatives who commit vote fraud. Local zoning board people who take bribes from developers. When will those people be prosecuted, fined and jailed?
To: *Wod_list
Well Drug Warriors... what say you? Should Rush fry for his involvement with the illegal drug market?
