Right now, there are 2,308 parties planned.
On the evening of December 7th, 2003, thousands of people around the country will gather to watch and discuss the new documentary Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War. TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Announcements; Culture/Society; Foreign Affairs; Free Republic; War on Terror
KEYWORDS: antiamerican; antiwar; bushhaters; codepink; iraq; lefties; marxist; moveon; moveondotorg; moveonorg

"I live just south of Indianapolis and there are only 4 parties within a 20-mile area"
Dang! No Moveon parties within 50 miles of me here in Missouri. (This is Bush Country) LOL!!

Man I can't believe all the house parties around my area. It would be kind of fun to show up and drink all their booze ;-)

Anyone know what an "upper decker" is?I do. I've only done it twice - once to someone I really disliked, and once to a relative ;0)

While there are several to chose from in the area (a couple being hosted by local politicians) the ones that are closest to me both specify that they want to talk with others "who feel the same way about this war and this administration".
I believe they'd all be very surprised to hear my opinions of both. Bwahaha
I look forward to reading the accounts of Freepers who attend one of these...functions. As for me, I chose to stick with my regular plans of caroling with my church to nursing home residents and shut-ins. MUCH more satisfying effort IMO.

I'm not 100% supportive of infiltrating. I think we all realize that this group is being monitored. Remember the articles? FBI starting to watch the anti war supporters? I would not want to be affiliated with this group.I think that infiltrating is probably not a good idea, but FBI or govt surveillance is not a concern here.
The FBI is NOT going to be attending or monitoring these things unless they have specific reasons to believe that something other than simply political discourse is happening. (Click here for a thread with story about FBI denial of allegations about spying on political non-criminal activities.)

HAHA, Well I've got about 6 in my 20 mile zone in MO! Most have about 2 participants signed up. This is hilarious! Some parties even "advertise" the size of the TV to be viewed on and the repast to be served........"light supper, a 32 inch TV"!
To: AdA$tra
The one closest to me is being held on a college campus,
I would like to know if it is being shown with tax payer's money... probably.
To: A Citizen Reporter
One of the four in my area advertises that they will provide chili and crackers, and suggests that you bring your own beer. HA!
Interestingly, 3 are on the northside of Indy (liberal territory) and one is at the college town south of me. MY township has NONE!

Man I can't believe all the house parties around my area. It would be kind of fun to show up and drink all their booze ;-) You'd be disappointed. These are the "take off your shoes, no smoke smell on the coat, no booze" liberals. I did a "w/in 50 miles of 04011" search and laughed my butt off.
