Al Queda Warning
MEMRI ^

A SOURCE CLOSE TO AL-QA'IDA SAID THAT 'THE HOLY WARRIORS HAVE COMPLETED THE PREPARATORY STAGE AND STARTED THE COUNTDOWN FOR THE EXECUTION OF AN ATTACK INSIDE THE UNITED STATES.' THE SOURCE CLAIMED THAT THE NEXT ATTACKS WILL CAUSE AMERICA 'TO LOSE CONTROL OF ITSELF AND THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH ITS ARMY.' HE AGAIN URGED MUSLIMS IN AMERICA TO LEAVE IF THEY DID NOT WISH TO DIE. (AL-SHARQ AL-AWSAT, LONDON, 11/26/03)

I agree except for one thing. If I witness another group of "innocent" muslims cheering 9/11 like I did on 9/12 they will pay (the ones cheering).

I know this has been mentioned before, but I have noticed a definite increase in the number of Emergency Broadcast test messages. I realize this is standard and mandatory, but what frequency is normal? The EBS messages also appear to be increasingly more complex, i.e. they seem to be testing longer messages. Is it just me?I think your seeing that due to the Amber Alert's that are now being used across publicbroadcasting. Their testing more frequently in order to use it for the Amber's..We've had two amber alert's in PA now and more testing.

I don't recall AQ giving their muslim brothers any warnings prior to 911 to get out of the US.Might want to research that statement, I seem to remember some articles being posted here after 9/11 that there were warnings in the community, but it's not clear to me.... I would do it if I could, but I don't have the time. I'm too busy preparing for the big attack that is coming......

You're right about the damage it would cause to our country. I'm glad you're here, rintense.
So would I. And that's why I think actions such as targeting Muslims, any Muslims, would destroy our country and what we believe in.

We do not have the military presence in numbers, BUT what we do have now that we didn't are staging areas, weaponry bases, and KNOWLEDGE, all centralized and capable of striking. If a major threat was imminent coming from the Middle East against US borders we would swarm the threatening country in a minutes notice. As far as owning the Middle East, oh yes, every rogue country in the region has their eyes on us and they are on the defense. Hussein was nothing but a stupid man who gave us every reason to conquer and headquarter in Iraq.

Agreed. The first few after 9/11 admittedly put a knot of fear in my stomach, but there have been so many that now they seem rather mundane.
And it is just that pacificity that they may be hoping to produce with their numerous empty warnings. If and when the real deal happens again (and I pray that it won't), we may be caught painfully unawares again.

I'm fairly certain that some or perhaps many wouldn't be as discriminating as you are GOPJ. Not that I'm disagreeing with you...

Wonder if that corner fruit vendor in NYC that a Freeper (whose name escapes me at the moment) was monitoring is still MIA?

The important question is, now that both sides are engaged in the war, can the terrorists really bring it on. It's fairly easy to blindside someone, but can they prevail against our opposition?Nope. Carthage...

Too bad the USA hasn't the guts to say to the world "The next attacks against the United States will result in the bombing of the Saudi oil fields!"I would bomb Mecca & one other major city - choose 5 cities but don't announce which one it would be.

And FWIW, the terror alert level hasn't been raised. Still at yellow, just as it's been for quite a while. If it's raised, I'll be more concerned. Until then, *shrug*.

Nope.
Only a nuke could cause this.......and a nuke in DC at that.
EMP would disable MOST military satellites in the line-of-sight and many military comms on the ground......especially if detonated at 30k feet along the eastern seaboard.
COMPLETE CHAOS with very few, if any, deaths resulting from the explosion and radiation. Most would be casualities from the total loss of order, most transportation and almost all electronic communication. Even the electrical grid would fail.
