In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.
Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."
Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."
She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."
Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.
"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."
Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.
"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."
The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.
"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

Doesn't it, though? As I was without the words to express my outrage at her venonmous lies....pictures expressed what I could not state...

There is a method to my delay in letter-writing to senators....waiting not only makes me calm down, but assists me in garnering ammunition against them to do something, as well.

I don't believe that she ever reads any e-mail; her screeners most likely dump it all. I know neither she nor her staff respond to any I've ever sent. The website and e-mail she has is a phony as she.I agree. During our live filibuster thread, they were hanging up on our FReepers calling the democrat cloakroom.
They are above our voice, but not above our vote.
They are SO doomed.

If it is treason then she should be tried and convicted

One of the problems that her heinous forgot was that any effort that undermines the actions of troops during time of war is treason. After Desert Storm, Iraq did not surrender, there was cease fire. That means that we are still at war with them and the actions she took were during a congressionally declared war. It is now up to congress to take action if they will. I just brought it to their attention. Course, your screaming probably got their attention also.

Just to piggy back on that; I read a story where someone tried to pull aside Billy boy during his first election drive and tried to talk about Jesus to him. Just when he did Hillary angrily pulled Bill back and told the person to get lost. She said when she saw Hillary her eyes were bright green and she talked in a real low voice. Kinda makes you wonder about her being Satan-incarnate. I wonder, could the Anti-Christ be a woman???

Enjoyed reading your post, along with the tagline (which is in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season!).
Regarding the subject at hand, I predict that Monday the tone and atmosphere of the country toward Sen. Clinton will take a decided turn. It is quite possible things will begin to turn really cold in matters regarding her little trip to visit (attempt to demoralize) the troops (and give comfort to the enemy).
Just whatever in the name of Sam Houston gives her the right to go over there on our dime and behave in this close-to-treasonous manner? I do not see her living long enough to live this down. Americans do not appreciate this type of verbal garbage at a time when our troops have their lives on the line for us.

I am from Boston, and I long ago recognized the Globe as a subversive enterprise. The Globe reporters, are not objective, the Globe columnists (most) are social marxists, and the editorial board are clearly living on another planet. They must be sending their wierdness via some sort of sophisticated transmission device. They certainly are not in touch with regular working people.
They have been undermining the effort in Iraq since before day one, and they have absolutely no credibility whatsoever. They are, at the Globe, completely subversive. The New York Times, is the parent Company of the Boston Globe now, and though I do not read the Times regularly, I do see some of their columnist's work out here on the Internet on occasion. These people (The Globe and the NY Times) are the true enemies of America.

I certainly hope the anger and outrage I see on this thread is not just a temporary blowing off of steam. If ever there has been a time for ALL freepers to pull together, it is now. This evil excuse for a human must be removed from office. We must all see what we are up against. Freepers may get angry sometimes because they don't agree with this policy or that policy of the President - however, this same President loves his country, loves his soldiers and is a true patriot. It is time to stop attacking him, splitting up into little cliques, and saying there is no difference between him and a Democrat. It is time to open our eyes - it is time to stop this woman before she destroys all that we love and hold dear. It may be now or never. We must stand together and remain held together by the glue of freedom and liberty and love of America.
