President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

Well he hasn't been back on-line and this point has been brought up so many times. Aren't yall his friends? Why keep beating up on him? It's done. Nothing happened. If he made a mistake all he can do is learn from it.

I heard much the same thing this morning in Springfield Mo. Also heard a caller say that the president "has two of them, and they weigh five pounds each". This did not surprise me as much as the next caller, a lady, who heartily agreed. The gals around here almost never answer to a veiled reference.

I've been slowly reading all the posts on this thread - and saving pics for my CnC\Iraq collection - and must point out that when Chief posted, the president would have had to have left Iraq already. He appreantly believed it was all clear, and perhaps it was, Baghdad time.
Thank you for posting this Chief, and thank you for your service. I hope you'll give us your first hand account from your unique perspective.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

But now, beyond a doubt in my mind, security was breached with this thread. and the danger to the CIC increased. Agreed. If GW's current location (Iraq) could have easily been discerned, which I believe was the case, it could have been possible to quickly muster anti-aircraft offensive action (e.g. shoulder-fired missles) near Bahgdad Airport. They could have gotten lucky. it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Everyone bitching about his posting this is forgetting one thing, he could be at any one of the Centcom centers and be moved between them within a days time, Baghdad, Kuwait, or Quatar. Just because his prior post were from Baghdad doesn't mean he was there yesterday.
My nephew was assigned to Centcom in Kuwait and when the hotel was bombed in Baghdad his mother saw him on TV attending to one of the wounded.

Our President is not motivated by ANYTHING Hillary does or does not do. He is not petty like she is.
Hillary's visit had to be planned for a long period of time. However .. FOX revealed the President's trip was kept very quiet (5-6 trusted people) - with the final decision on Wednesday.
FOX is reconfirming that info this morning (10 am PST).

I found the one I remembered, Cindy. It's #424...about 3 hours after his first posting. (Probably be a while before we hear from him again though.)

Nope, when he posted he said the CIC had landed an hour before hand,he left 90 minutes later. As a matter of fact, about an hour and a half after he posted this, the media reported it also.As I posted earlier, there is more than one mess hall in BD.Also, one would only have 90 min. to read, decipher info, plan and execute an attack on some exact unknown location.I do not think the info in this post compromised our President.

Just because his prior post were from Baghdad doesn't mean he was there yesterday. Yeah, that's convincing. I'm sure any bad guys setting up a missile strike on AF1 would just stop cold when one of them said, "Wait a minute, maybe this American fool is no longer in Baghdad!"
Let imagine that this soldier asked permission of his commanding officer during the dinner to return to his barracks and post hints about Bush's whereabouts on an Internet news site. What do you think the response would be?
To: section9
In the ORIGINAL POST, that I happened to look at this morning, there were two keywords: IRAQ, PRESIDENT BUSH. Then the Chief told us further that we would understand why he couldn't tell us where he was. It's not like the President was taking a jaunt down to the Canal Zone now, was he?
That's when I strongly suspected that the POTUS was in Baghdad. It was confirmed in my mind shortly thereafter when some very alarmed moderators had done an Emergency Pull pursuant to JimRob's "Loose Lips" ruling.
The people holding up the Yellow Caution Flag are correct: all it would take would be for one satellite call to activate the local jihadi. Whether or not the jihadi could have reacted in time is another question, but beside the point.
Agreed. I decided to repost most of your clear explaination. With GW present in a war zone, it was a breach of security for anyone to post that real-time information on the Internet. Granted, it would be a long shot, but it is possible that an anti-aircraft missle attack could have been mustered in time, and they just might have gotten a lucky strike oh AF1 at departure.
Some here refuse to accept this (albeit remote) possibility.

"post hints about Bush's whereabouts on an Internet news site"
Pure BS speculation, he could have been at any base in the world including the US since his last post on FR.
My nephew who was in Baghdad 2 weeks ago is now in Seattle

The military has ways of stopping communication when they want to (scary thought for a freeper lol). Anyway, I don't know if it's technical or just orders but I have two sons in the military , who at times have not been able to call or use the net (esp. when HS decides to change crayons)There were probably lines at phones and computers to ask mom "guess who's here?"
To: kimmie7
If this had happened in a movie, everyone would say that it was far-fetched. Yet, this President pulled it off!
