WHY EURO-WEENIES HATE GEORGE BUSH
Boortz.com ^ | 11/19/03 | Neal Boortz

This may have been posted but Neal Boortz has a good way of clearing things up. He has notes worth reading every day @ Boortz.com

President Bush will be facing demonstrators in England today. No big news. American presidents face demonstrations everywhere they go .. .even in this country.

I think, though, I have a bit of a handle on why so many Europeans literally hate George Bush. I can explain it with this scenario:

You're walking down the street when you notice a house on fire. The flames are just beginning to lick at some windows. From inside that house you hear screams. A mother is pleading for someone to come help her look for her babies.

You're frozen with fear out there on that sidewalk. You know there are children in that house, and you know the mother is in there trying to save them. You know they may all die, but you can't move out of your tracks on that sidewalk. You're afraid. After all, what if you get burned trying to save those people? What if you die? Maybe the flames will die out on their own? You're perfectly willing to stand in the yard with a garden hose trying to contain the flames .. but actually going in there? No way!

While you're standing there doing nothing, here comes this swaggering American in a cowboy hat. A damned Texan. The Texan sees the fire, hears the screams for help, throws down his hat and runs into the house. Minutes later he emerges with the woman and her children. They're safe.

What about you? You feel like a coward. That Texan has made you feel small .. he took your manhood. He showed you for the coward that you are in front of all of those people who were watching the spectacle. Those people know that they were more like you than like the Texan; after all, they stood by you in doing nothing. God, you hate him so. You hate him because he displayed the courage you only wish you had. Oh, you're glad he rescued that woman and her children; but why couldn't it have been you?

Suck it up, Europe. It's not like this is the first time Americans have had to do the job you should have done in the first place, and it probably won't be the last.

At least well thought out. To be honest I am still a little to "upset" and ready for a fight over my last encounter on this site. I look forward to a real debate soon!

Uh- no- We haven't even suffered the casualties that the French did I WWI with all of our wars combined. What do the French owe us? Nothing. Do you think they should grovel at our feet? Do we over Yorktown?

Your referenced article - mentions the last major heroic victory for the French - was nearly two hundred years ago..

During that same 200 years - France passed from being an ally to a feckless back stabbing nation of bastards.

If you wish to respect a nation and military -- respect those of the United States of America...

If you wish prayers of forgiveness, pray that those that have died to provide your silly ass with the priviledge of survival and free speech....

You need to grow up, boy.
Stop acting so freaking French..

Thanks for the link. I bookmarked it. It's pretty scary what the liberals want. They're mentally sick people.

Continue to boycott French products! Break their bank. We don't need their goods.

I don't live in Beaverville, I live in Texas. I'm not a hick, slick or otherwise. I was born in Texas and I've lived here all my life. I believe right is right and wrong is wrong and don't mind saying so.

If that offends you or others, then maybe you and they are too sensitive.

I also believe in God, Country, and Family. I'm neither sick or squalid, nor a wretch. If you are retching on my account, hopefully it will not be fatal? Calm down and breath deeply.

God bless America and President George Bush.

And I still don't like the French.

Check out The Guardian message board, the postings drip with hatred of Bush, Israel, and Western democracy. It's an eye opener.

The Guardian only represents about 23% of the British. That hate is from the socialist parties. The majority of the Brits are really pro-American, and like Bush. Last poll had 65% approving of the war against Iraq.
It's about the same thing here. About 30% or less are the extreme kooks making all the noise in the US.
They have a lieing liberal press in the UK, too.

Boy? Is that what you could "mamage" for me? You are too kind SIR! I have nothing but contempt for you!"

I would wager the Heart of any Nantucket Whaler against any Britiish Seaman in a fair fight?

I think you've got it, pretty close. Plus, Europe hasn't got very far at all from from its fascist, anti-semitic, overtly communist phase, so lots of Europeans have plenty of additional reasons to hate America besides their lack of altruistic resolve.

Burkeman1 wrote: "What do the French owe us?"

You are right, the Frecnh do not "owe" us anything, although paying back some Marshall Plan money would be nice. Until recently, it has been a wash...it all evened out in the big scheme of things. I'll be honest, I did some cross training with some French Naval Infantry in the early 90's. Great guys, very professional; glad they were on our side.

The last sentence in the above paragraph is key to the current state of things; "glad they WERE on our side." The French government of today has taken steps that have actively put US servicemen in greater harms way. Through their machinations in the UN they made the goal of deposing Saddam Hussien harder. What riles many further and will not be printed in the mainstream press, is that these machinations were all about the oil...the exact thing that the hate-America crew (the French included) said of the US. There is compelling evidence that not only did the French strive to hurt the US in a political way, they also gave Saddam Hussien material aid that has led directly to the deaths of American servicemen. Some of this aid was probably even given after the French KNEW that the US was going to depose Hussien.

Politics is all about watching out for your own; it always has been. When a country crosses the line from watching out for its own, to actively helping an enemy, that country forfiets the right to be treated in as a friendly entity.

The French government has crossed that line, and by default many feel that France as a whole can no longer be considered an ally, or a friend...at least for the time being. France should be treated as a hostile country, and treated accordingly. That doesn't mean that a war is in order. What it does mean is that we shouldn't make nice with them, just for the sake of civility.

I would like to think that one day we could go back to considering them our allies; friends we could turn to in times of need. With the increasing Muslim population, and the rise of fundamental Islam in France, though, I don't see it happening anytime soon.
