She did the line of Limbaugh's ties and women's scarves.

Proud owner of four Limbaugh ties. I get at least three compliments a day when I wear her ties. Total strangers. Never fails, everytime.

Only a woman would notice this. My wife just saw a clip of RUSH on H & C and noticed he was wearing his wedding ring so let's hope that's a sign that everything is ok with him and Marta...

I'm not so sure the ring means anything. I've known many men who have continued to wear their wedding ring even if it was clear there was no chance of reconciliation.

Being a public figure, if there was something going on that he didn't want to talk about regarding Marta, it would only make sense to keep the ring on so people don't ask questions... like the women who notice those sorts of things. :)

What I think is even more telling is the fact there was zero mention of Marta in the show. He would mention her at least once in nearly all the previous shows. Today when he was talking about all the people who supported him, Marta did not come up. He said nothing like "all your good wishes really helped Marta to cope." He said nothing related to growing with his family. He did not even pass along a "thank you" from Marta.

Based on all this, if he was talking to me guy to guy, I would assume that Marta became a part of his past in this process. I may be wrong, but when a married man can go that long talking about himself and not mention his wife when he has a history of mentioning her, something is wrong.

The fact he didn't mention her would be a concern but hell, he didn't mention his brother David either so I'm cutting him some slack until other wise...

Was anyone else disappointed that Rush didn't address the Jay Rockefeller Senate Intelligence Committee memo?

Hopefully it was a result of having so much other stuff to cover. But I hope he takes it to the Dims on Tuesday about their strategy to destroy President Bush, and there is no better example than this memo.

What's bad for America is good for Dimocrats.

Thought he might mention it-- but his zinger to Teddy Kennedy was worth the price of admission.

...And, he'll never get prosecuted.

Of course not! Premiere (or whoever he's sold through) has a vested interest in keeping him out of the 'can'.

He says he's cured, this time (3rd time's the charm?); how does anyone know that'll be true since with radio and webcam nobody could tell that he was 'hopped up' the previous several times? I hope he IS, of course, but what objective proof can there be?

He said today that there are things he couldn't talk about yet. Is that because they're touchy subjects OR because there are dealings going on to keep him from getting busted like anyone ELSE would who was scoring medications WITHOUT a prescription? ("talent on loan from God" - he should'a gotten brains instead)

I've seen his suppliers on www.thesmokinggun.com; I'm waiting to see his mugshot up there too. There has to be an arrest, a booking, an arraignment, and a trial (even if the sentence is community time or whatever) or 'the fix is in' and his credibility is lost..

Rush needs to be back. We need him back. It's a beautiful relationship. Rush and his loyal listeners help and support each other. He needs to be on the air doing what he was born to do best of all. Once behind the Golden EIB everything will flow just like it did before and ever better.

Since you brought up David, in all the times David was on to talk about Rush's progress, he never passed along any messages from Marta and never said anything about how she was doing during all this either.

Talking about possible surgery at some future time to deal with back pain -- would require going through throat and involve missing the larynx. Saying that medication was helping the pain and his avoiding the operation, but that was just an excuse for using the opiates. Being very frank and honest now.

I am sorry I am here so late to comment. I took off half a day from work today just to hear RUSH. I heard this explanation and felt that after hearing it, that is why he felt so compelled to try and heal himself. He needs his voice for his living and he even touched about how he now realizes he has to put his health first no matter what.

What a guy. He brings so much inspiration to me. Thank you RUSH once again.

He has bad disks and said he wanted to do the drugs, there is a difference.

He had a bad back problem. He didn't go after the drugs for any Libertarian recreational reason, it was for pain management.

It was so easy to get it he got more than he should have which is not unusual for people in pain.

What happens is they find they have a growing tolerance to these drugs and that is why they go for more. That and wanting to be totally OUT OF PAIN when they should realize it is to make the pain tolerable, not gone with a horrible back.

What people do today is to over time change medications to different types to attempt to avoid addiction.

The other thing some brave souls do is go without for 3 or four days in a row a month and be in horrible pain a few days a month in order to keep the tolerances to the drugs from growing.

It is a horrible situation and he got into it due to a disabled back, not to get high in the name of the Constitution like some loons in the world.

Many recovering alcoholics or recovering drug addicts smoke and drink coffee compulsively. Yes they are both also addictions but it is a question of magnitude. Recovery is probably as stressful as dealing with a life threatening illness, it is a life threatening illness. If you get a handle on the one that is strangling and running your life you can later tame the lesser demons.

I recently read an article about the smoking Nazi's. With the smoking ban they forced an AA club to buy a liquor liscense and stock liquor. It seemed the smoking ban applied to everyplace except bars. Insanity.

You're both right. The only source for "permanently good results" is the Lord Jesus Christ, His Holy Spirit, and His Word. A lot of preachers, pastors, and "ministers" are themselves pagans, and their "churches" are only storehouses, storing people for the lake of fire. Sad - but our Lord called them what they are - sons of hell.

HE does DOPE because he wants to. The pain was an excuse. He said it twice yesterday that I heard. He didn't equivocate or weasel out. He was straight up about it.

The pain was an excuse

Yes, he said it quite clearly that he was using for "recreational" purposes.

I thought, "ouch!"

He must have had a truly bad problem. I really did not believe it at first. Now I do.

All things to God are spiritual.

Cancer is spiritual? Blunt force head trauma is spiritual? Paranoid schizophrenia is spiritual?

It matters what He thinks and how He decides to heal. I want to do His will.

What is your basis for thinking that God does not want people to avail themselves of modern medicine?
