A 3 1/2 inch knife! That guy was very lucky the bear was injured and weak. Not so with the bear...poor beast. I hate to see any animal suffer. Glad it was put down. It would have been a different story if it had found a child.

Wow, what an amazing gent! 200 lbs is pretty small, but I bet it was ferocious given that it was already hurt and starving...
Can't climb a tree or outrun them... most folks would have been dead after running into that one.
