SUPPORT OUR MILITARY: DONATE YOUR FREQUENT FLYER MILES
Operation Hero Miles ^ | 11/10/2003 | Peja

Posted on 11/10/2003 3:58:21 PM PST by peja

Show your support for our brave military in yet another meaningful way. Donate your frequent flyer miles to pay for round-trip airfare for our troops returning back to US soil for R&R or emergency leave.

United Airlines is one of the participating airlines: http://www.united.com/press/detail/0,1442,51434,00.html

Go here for complete details: http://www.heromiles.org

Pass it on...

Thank you for your service, montrose!

I think you'll find the info you need here, or a Freeper who can help:

Thank you all,
This has been a much bigger response than I thought. I have good news. I got in touch with Delta's customer service via the internet last night, and they agreed to waive the 14 day waiver. All she has to do is bring her military ID and a copy of my orders and we are done. Once again thank you for all your responses.

Once again thank you for all your responses.

Not at all, thank you for the heavy lifting you're doing.

And Delta deserves a thumbs-up. Some of our airlines can be maddening at times,
but lately they've been mostly doing the right thing.
