Hey guys you've probably read the thread about us having an affirmative action bakesale here at IU. I thought since we had it I'd give you an update. Well as you can probably guess it's been a real firestorm. When we had it there were probably 40-70 black people yelling at us for 2 hrs. No violence, and the University did not attempt to shut us down. So far they have actually been very supportive of our freedom of speech. However, after the bakesale in a time period of only 5 hrs the Black Student Union organized a forum where over a 100 people totally castigated the President of the Committee for Freedom, the group that put on the bakesale. We had not anticipated this and were not prepared. We should not have attended, but the President of the organization was forced to go by his boss because he is an RA. We've attracted a lot of news attention. We were the lead story on the local news last night as well as frontpage news in the student and local papers today. The Indianapolis Star also did a story and it has been picked up by the AP. Soon there will start to be letters coming in that call the organizer racist and slandering him. There have already been complaints that such protest should not be allowed at the school. That's good because that's what we wanted and we knew they would do that. We are drafting a response and we are going to hammer them. If any of you would like to help us by writting a letter to the editor of the school newspaper or Indianapolis Star get in touch with me. Thank you.

how about an Alphabetical Action bake-sale? Next have a "Mend it don't End it" Bzke Sale by having a lottery where 10% of the whites entered would get the lower price.

Thanks. The white males ought to have been the ones screaming They were just mad because some people shed a light on what affirmative action truly is. The first thing a racist liberal does when they get caught is blame some else for being racist.

Tell that to any White or Hispanic PFC that called General Powell the N-word.

Blacks keep acting the way they are acting they will lose their power. When 70 percent of the US suffering from AA discrimination (65 percent white, 5 percent Asian) unite against this policy politically, the remaining 30 percent will be hurting big time.

This has got to be one of the most idiotic statements ever uttered by a human
Months ago there was A liberal student white female guest on
Hannity & Colmes who was incensed that someone had printed
literature with the face of the famous Mumia, below that , the words, 'Cop Killer'. She insisted it was racist. When
H reminded her that this individual was, indeed, convicted of cop killing, and therefore by default, a cop killer, she stuttered and whimpered. She balked at H's referrences to black racism, actually being under the belief that racism only connotated white discrimination against black. She was on camera, but would not give her name.

Great job! The Ball State University Daily News picked it up as a news brief today. Keep us updated on any further developments.

If the the blacks were smart they would have bought all of you're cookies for 50 cents each. Then opened up a cookie stand next to yours and only charged whites 75 cents. They would have made a 25 cent profit on each cookie and they could have bragged that they were "stickin' it whitey".

Keep up the good work! Walter Williams just gave your bake sale and your organization a thumbs up as they went to break on the Rush Limbaugh show. He did call Bllomington Bloomingdale however.

Dude! Are you serious? That's awesome! We emailed him last night to make sure he knew about it, but I didn't know if he would bring it up or not. Unfortunately I was at class and couldn't hear it. Do you think you could tell me approximately which hour of the show that he said that in?
To: Rush Reagan
Excellent job! Thank you!
Now please tell us that you will keep this up. At least until it ignites a national movement and then, hopefully and eventually, the attention of the media so that this government-sponsored racism gets exposed.

You have my word. We will not give up.

And, BTW, I've got a lovely portrait of Patrick Henry on the wall in this very room {:-)

Congratulations to you guys for your success with the AA bakesale. I'm with the College Republicans on my campus, and we wanted to do a bakesale, but there was already talk that administrators would block us before we got started. The Black Student Union also voiced their discontent by threatening our group with violence if we went through with it.
Please keep us updated on how everything unfolds.

Great job! Heard about you sale all over. Even had a supportive editorial in my local paper. (The Lebanon Reporter) If you would like me to cut it out and send it to you. Freep mail me with an address.
Keep up the good work!
To: azGOPgal
azGOPgal, You should not let the administration or the BSU intimidate you into not excercising your right to free speech. By not doing the bakesale you are letting them win. I cannont make you do anything, but for all of us here I encourage you strongly to muster the intestinal fortitude to carry out this protest. Get security there if you have to. Also, another suggestion would be to do a different variation on the bakesale such as a slavery reparations bakesale that I heard someone else suggest. This would set you apart.
