Second.
Hell, you wouldn't have recognized it in '92 if your first look at it was yesterday!

Well, I just might be wrong. I don't know Mississippi like I know Kentucky. But I will stand by my call. It is just possible that Barbour will slip below 50% with the latest numbers.

I went to a party near Leaper's Fork about 10 years ago and all I saw was Dolly Partons headlights. Steve Winwood and Ray Stevens were there but it was Dolly's headlights that got my attention.

Apparently, Musgrove is "making his way to the podium" in downtown Jackson as we speak (or so says WLBT news). Concession speech, anyone?
Best of luck, y'all. I've got to get to bed. I'll be sleeping w/ my fingers crossed, hoping Haley pulls this one out!

Thanks for setting me straight. Time for some shut-eye. I don't want to rest until Barbour's numbers are officially called though. He looks strong now given any unforseen county 'irregularities."
To: Torie
Looks like Barbour didn't get out the vote in DeSoto. Bush beat Gore, 24,879-9,586 in that county. Barbour beat Musgrove, 18,177-8,621.
To: wardaddy
Did you read bourbon's comment right above yours to me! Musgrove making his way to the stage?

I love to be on the mountaintop when it's around zero and the winds are howling and a nice bunch of snow. My absolute favorite time to be there. You'd love the UP of Michigan then.

"I was having a "Dingle-Norwood" moment."LOL! I think we've all been there.
Not my idea of a good time...;o)

"However, I also read that not all Kurds are Shia"
No, they're mostly Sunni. I never heard of a Kurd Shia, to be honest. Either way, pretty much all the Kurds are BIG time on our side (they are much more western overall, some women actually run companies, no burkas or anything ilke that, etc.). Most but not all of the Shias are with us also - if they're not, it's mainly for the religious/cultural differences. However, even the ones that aren't aren't very likely to take it to violence for quite a while. It's the Arab Sunnis that are the main problem - trust me on that.
Iran is as Sunni as Iraq is Shia. In fact, most countries in the Middle East are mostly Sunni, with rare exceptions, Iraq being one of them. Culturally, the rift between us and Shia's isn't as wide as between us and Sunnis. And Shia's and Sunnis tend to detest each other. Arabs in general -hate- Kurds, Sunnis moreso than Shia's tho.
This, at least, is my understanding. But all my knowledge is book knowledge.
