Drudge WAS on this VERY early (at least 4-6 months ago). He deserves major props.

I don't know if this has been posted. Al Rantel said a short time ago on his show on KABC in Los Angeles, that the two guys give the job of producing the movie are members of the gay left that hates Reagan. It was a hatchet job from the word go.

It's not a cancellation; it's just a shift to another Viacom property. They're still gonna finish making the thing.
Just damn.
If you want on the new list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

I was being sarcastic. He claimed the France boycott was his idea, which is why I posted what I did.

Poor James Brolin will have to go back to making those Aamco commercials.

They should've shown it, and let the liberals get mired in mud like they did with davis. Without any further info, I'm wondering if some folks on the left aren't waking up after all and this was cancelled due to realizing they would get CRUSHED.
I think it's wise to take into account that liberalsim as we know it now didn't jsut show up overnight. It crept in over 40 long years. Now the pendulum is swinging back to the right (I do believe it's somewhat a cyclical thing) but much quicker than liberalism took hold.
Releasing hit jobs is not in "their" best interest.Defending "their" interests might be.
I find it laughable anymore that most liberals scoff at "Republicans" as some sort of obscurity in modern day America. Hell, I've witnessed some liberals so condecending that they use the term "Republican" as though it is a put down. Meanwhile, they got their asses handed to them in 2000 and 2002. Yet, their playbook remains the same.
Way I see it, why stand in the way of the enemy while he's doing a great job of destroying himself..Play the DAMN mini-series!!

FReeping works!
Now, I dunno what had transpired when the script was leaked, and if you do, please educate us, but here' s the cat's theory for all it's worth. (Won't buy you a double decaf latte with lowfat milk at Starbucks, that's fer shore!) The CBS brass saw the finished film and recognized, in spite of themselves, that it would cause them some trouble out in the flyover country. How to drop it? There are agreements to keep, contracts to fulfill, promises, lunch appointments to celebrate, but, in the end it's better to drop it, and in any event, finished flicks get dropped all the time for various reasons. That's how these businessmen decided to leak the script and wait for the reaction to give them cover to drop it. Corporate suits never act until they've got cover! Whatcha think?

They're AIDS activists, too, apparently. And doesn't Streisand have a family member who's gay and has AIDS? Some co-incidence.

It's not a cancellation; it's just a shift to another Viacom property. They're still gonna finish making the thing. Uncut, at that. But truthfully, Drudge is right. It's a black eye for CBS. They got outed.

Great! Now instead of being watched only once on CBS, this thing is going to run on Showtime 3 or 4 times a week for 2 months straight.
To: longtermmemmory
And November is sweeps month! Yep, the movie got swept right out the door!

Watch how fast the 1st Amendment crowd cowers and runs when there's no one footing their bill. I guarantee you that leftists nationwide will be screaming about how this is a prime example of how the 1st Amendment (under Bush and Ashcroft) has gone down the tubes. ......knowing absolutely nothing about the Amendment, of course.
To: Revolting cat!
You're giving the suits too much credit.
