Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Thank you. But I can't compare to AG. I can find things; but AG has a major talent with words.

From my favorites entry I access it fine now. Earlier today all avenues to that server were "Forbidden". Not for long, but it did happen. Strange.

I don't recall having heard of a cruise ship getting sick before 9-11.

I started picking up groups getting sick about four years ago, a group of 500 at a company picnic got about the same as the Norovirus. In New Jersey as I recall. ( I didn't have the Internet then, so had only the radio reports).

It struck me as odd, as I have been to a lot of buffets and didn't eat the same food as the person next to me. It would take some effort to make the whole group sick.

It does not seem to me that the person on the street gets it, but only in large groups.

The Hepatitis outbreak from the green onions, is another example, there was another outbreak, since the one with the mexican food, not connected, at first report.

Promed reported that the onions never showed the germs, but that the water the onions were washed at on the farm, was "not stored in a proper tank", it is strange that the Hepatitis germ was only found in the sick people and not on the food.

There was one casino in Reno, Nv that had norovirus last year.

Alarm bells go off for me, when I hear of a disease that hits only people who are in a large group, having expensive fun.

All the old diseases are still going around the world.

I don't have room to save the Promeds on my old computer and can't figure out how that I can post them here, as I can't download and then get them back off this computer, so would have to forward a copy to anyone who wants the info from it, by regular e-mail.

I was told that I would be shot, if I attempted to remove her from the school, this would have been about 1960.

I can still feel the fear, a child that would not be allowed home and a navy husband on a ship some where.

I am putting this up because of it's content and appropriateness to this thread. It is from the December 31, 2003 issue, but just as relevant today.

http://independent.gmnews.com/news/2003/1231/Front_page/002.html

"In a nutshell, we received secret information from the federal Office of Homeland Security, revealing the particular communities involved in situations they think may be a problem as far as posing a threat," Monmouth County (New Jersey) Prosecutor John Kaye said. "There were 69 sites highlighted statewide and one Monmouth County site, which we cannot reveal. We go on a big conference call and, as a result, get a lot more police presence funneled to the spots deemed most sensitive."

The information the prosecutor’s office received, Kaye said, revealed there were four or five terrorist teams lurking, which may or may not have weapons of mass destruction, including suitcase nuclear devices. "The potential to reach people with those suitcase devices is obviously much higher."

World Opinion Is Fragmented on Tighter Security for Visitors -By ELAINE SCIOLINO - Published: January 7, 2004 - PARIS, Jan. 6 — No one would dare to seem soft on terrorism these days. But the new security measures imposed on travel to the United States have sparked strong and starkly different reactions around the world, veering from loud cheering to swift retaliation.

I particularly worry about the Oyster Creek nuclear plant. When they restricted flights at Wall airport over the holidays that plant was the first thing I thought of.

Reflecting Absence’ to honor Sept. 11 victims Victims’ families unhappy with winner for World Trade Center site

I am curious to opinions on this?

I would say, just my opinion,I'm not a Nyer etc. But my emotionality would welcome this thought for 'reflection'. I would not want a gaudy building for memorial. If I get to NY I would want to sit quietly within my thoughts and prayers for all those we lost. I think the underground waterfall is serenity , the reflection is beautiful.
