Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

That is most definitely an interesting thought, especially considering the timing of it all.

I wanted to share the best psych advice I've heard since 911 from a psychiatrist on FNC today, who has written a book.

She was queried what is the need to know if we cannot do anything of the level being raised.

Her reply was as Americans we do not like not being in control of our own lives. Being forewarned can afford us some control. Like if we fear bridges, we stay off of them. If we fear tunnels we stay out of them. For those of us who fear flying in general, this gives us an excuse not to.

I thought her remarks important as related to our threads and posts. We who have been involved with this for months, weeks etc and who even lose sleep over it and get accused of being obsessed, seems to be our way of working through this. If we investigate, research and stay one step ahead of the game, it gives us our level of control to feel in command of our own lives.

So I thank this woman, because even with the smallest thing it is our way of dealing with terrorism. Our way of being aware to look left and right.

And hey, those glasses at the spy shop even lets us see who is behind us -smiles-

But green is a very symbolic color in the Islamic world.
For Muslims green is the color of the Prophet Mohammed. He himself declared it as his favourite color and wore a green coat and a green turban. Until today only his successors are allowed to wear a green turban. The holy Islamic flag is green and embroidered with gold. Mohammed is said to have carried this banner during the war which helped him to conquer Mecca. Many of the Arab flags have green in them; the Saudi flag is green with white writing if memory serves me correctly, and the Libyan flag is green as well.

COMMENT: Based on current intelligence, it appears that the attack on NYC will be weapons-grade anthrax dispersed to intentionally disrupt the city to a maximum degree. Las Vegas: it is stated specifically that a major cable network will be tipped off to cover this explosion. Casualties are expected to be enormous forcing people to flee from the attacked cities. D.C. is continually singled out as a recipient of a suitcase nuke (fission weapon), not a radiological nuke (dirty bomb). Another American city is being targeted though not specifically named. Based on previous intel, it appears that Los Angeles is the most likely candidate.

The Northeast Intelligence Network has been actively investigating raw data from a number of various sources, including human intelligence from government officials obtained by Mr. Steven Quayle as well as a variety of information obtained by network analysts around the clock since the middle of last week. Specific intelligence obtained by this network determined the following:

1. There are four or five "teams" of terrorists, consisting of four or five members per group who already have, or about to acquire the same number of air cargo planes for use as missiles against US targets as they did with passenger aircraft on 9/11. Although it was reported by DHS that the aircraft are believed to be originating outside of the US, our information suggests that some or perhaps all are already within the continental United States, although their locations have not been confirmed.

2. Some or all of the terrorist groups are believed to possess some form of weapons of mass destruction, exacerbating the impact (or perhaps releasing the cargo in flight and prior to impact, depending on the nature of the WMD).

3. The targets include government facilities in Washington, possible strategic military sites in the US, nuclear power plants, and other sites that would create the greatest devastation and loss of life.

4. In conjunction or in addition to the above, evidence indicates the possession of a nuclear device, devices, material or materials already inside the continental US.

5. Also in conjunction with the events described above, other operatives appear to be in place to hijack or otherwise use tanker and cargo trucks as "Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices" (VBIEDs) as we reported on 22 November 2003 and 9 December 2003.

6. Time Frame: the anticipated window of greatest exposure appears to be from the present through 2 February 2004, although based on the dramatic increase of communications and the content of the same, events appear to be planned for the Christmas and New Year holiday season. (It is important to note that the timing of a planned attack is "dynamic" and based on operational opportunities.
