A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Why is the word Film in English in Layout's original post?
Is there no type of Arabic Translation?
Could the message be fradulent by someone using a online translator? Which is why it looked unusual to you StillProud?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1058159/posts "Konanykhin Hearing Begins"
Moscow Times ^ | Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004 | Valeria Korchagina
Posted on 01/14/2004 6:13:01 PM PST by RussianConservative
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "The U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Virginia, began hearing an extradition case Wednesday against Alexander Konanykhin, a Russian businessman wanted in Moscow on fraud charges dating from the early 1990s.
Konanykhin, a one-time business partner of jailed former Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky, was arrested late on the night of Dec. 24 by Homeland Security officers as he and his wife, Yelena Gracheva, tried to drive to Canada in an apparent move to avoid deportation to Russia. Russian prosecutors have alleged that Konanykhin embezzled $8 million in state funds.
Konanykhin, 37, one of Russia's first post-Soviet millionaires and until 1995 vice president of Khodorkovsky's Bank Menatep, has lived in the United States since the mid-1990s.
In 1996 Konanykhin managed to avoid deportation on charges that he violated visa rules, and he was awarded political refugee status in 1999 after a judge concluded he would be in extreme danger from the authorities if he returned to Russia.
By the mid-1990s Konanykhin's financial dealings had also attracted the attention of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. He reportedly had run offshore banking operations from the United States for his Russian partners, through the Antigua-registered European Union Bank. According to The Washington Post, some $12 million left Russia via its accounts before it closed in 1996.
But on Nov. 20, the U.S. Justice Department overturned the decision by the Immigration and Naturalization Service and issued a deportation order for Konanykhin.
He narrowly escaped being put on the next flight to Moscow after a judge in Alexandria became suspicious at the speed of the intended deportation. Instead, Konanykhin was held in Arlington jail, awaiting a court hearing."

I will try "Yahoo.ca.com" as the domain instead of "Yahoo.com" for afghan_abdi - Perhaps this is why it bounced.

Many modern terms don't have translations into Arabic, at least not in common usage. (At least that was the case in Egypt.) Video, film, and cinema are a few examples off the top of my head. I don't know of an online translator that would generate transliterated text like that but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist.
Without being able to see the word in Arabic I'm making a guess that they are spelling it phonetically. It could be "fe al" meaning "in the" but that doesn't account for the "m" and it doesn't really make sense contextually.
This one has me puzzled.
It's very strange.

Thanks for the heads up, boss!!!

It would not surprise me to hear the same news again, today. I read the first 2 pages, don't know what comes next, interesting reports.
Some while back there was a report on Los Alamos (I think) that showed pictures that a reporter had taken, to prove how lax security was.

Flight from N.J. makes emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham
The Associated Press
1/14/2004, 10:22 p.m. ET
MORRISVILLE, N.C. (AP) A Continental Airlines flight headed to Bogota, Colombia from New Jersey made an emergency landing here Wednesday after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit.
The Boeing 757 landed safely at Raleigh-Durham International Airport at about 5:15 p.m. None of the 146 passengers or eight crew members on Flight 880 was injured, airport officials said.
The nonstop flight left Newark, N.J., at around 3:15 p.m., said Teresa Damiano, the airport's marketing director.
She said the crew reported an engine malfunction and smoke in the cockpit, though none reached the passengers.
"By the time it landed there was no physical sign of fire," Damiano said.
Damiano did not know how long the plane had been in the air when the smoke was first detected.
Continental had not yet investigated the malfunction because the airline was focusing on making arrangements for passengers, airport spokeswoman Mindy Hamlin said late Wednesday.
Hamlin said a new 757 was expected to arrive from Newark late Wednesday and that passengers would leave on that plane for Bogota around 11 p.m.
