President Bush's Message to the Grassroots: "I Need You"
Bush Team Leaders ^ | 10/28/03 | President George W. Bush

Posted on 10/28/2003 1:09:13 PM PST by Marcus Alonzo Hanna

Dear Republican,

Over the last few months, Laura and I have traveled the country and have been humbled by the enthusiastic support we have been given.

Our country has faced many challenges in the last two and half years and we are meeting these challenges at home and abroad. We're defeating the enemies of freedom. And at the same time, we're confronting challenges to build prosperity for our nation and a more compassionate society.

Every test has revealed the true character of America. And no one in the world can doubt the spirit and will and strength of the American people.

We are meeting the challenges of our time but there is much more to be done and I need your support. Will you join me in these efforts by volunteering for my re-election campaign as a Bush Team Leader?

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

As a Bush Team Leader you will be asked to help by volunteering at local events, hosting your own events, registering new voters, turning out voters on Election Day and more. Most importantly, you will be asked to recruit more Bush Team Leaders to help us win in November 2004. Please sign up to be a part of this important effort today.

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

The challenges we face cannot be met with timid actions or bitter words. They will be overcome with optimism and resolve and confidence in the ideals of America.

We are acting to advance human freedom and liberty and making the world and America more secure. We took action to create jobs and get the economy growing again.

We acted on principle. You did not send me to this office to mark time. You sent me here to restore dignity and honor to the White House and to help build a safe and prosperous and caring nation. Will you join me in this effort by becoming a Bush Team Leader and volunteer your time?

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

I want to thank you for the work that you will do in the months to come. There is no question in my mind that with your help we are laying the foundation to win a great victory in November of 2004.

Sincerely,

George W. Bush

P.S. Again, thank you for making my campaign strong at the grassroots level all across the country. I am grateful to the over 300,000 Americans that have contributed to my campaign and the millions more who've signed up on the campaign email list. And I am grateful to everyone that chooses to volunteer in support of this effort. I need you to make certain your friends and family register to vote. I need you to make phone calls, send emails, help organize rallies, put up signs, and get out the vote. I need you to volunteer in my campaign today.

We will elect George W. Bush in 2004 without them.

My sentiments exactly!!

I just read all the posts while watching Hardball. I do not know whether to get sick over Hardball, or some of the posters on FR. If they are so pure, who are they going to vote for? I can tell you one thing, whom ever it is, they might as well be p-----g up a rope!!

I am not whining, what I am concerned about is fractionalism within the Republican party.

Dear President,

Will you put the needs of Americans ahead of the needs of the Iraqis?

Will you use your office and popularity to provide leadership for the purpose of shrinking the size and scope of federal government?

Will you demand that the congress live up to their constitutional obligations and stop funding welfare programs for foreign as well as domestic concerns?

Will you put the rights of Americans ahead of the demands of the rest of the world?

................If so, I will guarantee my complete committment - mind, body, spirit, and fortune.

.................If not, you're on your own.

These whiners about GW or their sorry dna donors did the same thing with Ronald Reagan when he was governor of California and as our president. Here is what President Reagan had to say about the whiners pretending to be the real conservatives:

Ronald Reagan on the art of political compromise

"When I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didn't like it. "Compromise" was a dirty word to them and they wouldn't face the fact that we couldn't get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you don't get it all, some said, don't take anything. "I'd learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: 'I have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.'

"If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that's what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it." ~~ Ronald Reagan, in his autobiography, An American Life .

A little reality from President Reagan versus the unreal phonies claiming to be the only real conservatives in America.

Don't you just want to write a check for President Bush everytime you read one of these anti-Bush posts? LOL!

Let's see, if I just get my brother-in-law to vote Bush, and my niece's husband, and my (sigh) teacher sister, I'll have recruited my whole (large) family.

And instigated by whom, may I ask?

I will state my contention it is by the "paleocons" whose titular leader, Pat Buchanan, has won what?

Oh that's right Pat has won something. The right to be paid to be Bill Press's sidekick on MSNBC, while they both criticize President Bush.

But don't hand the Executive Branch back to the RATs.

The only way the Executive branch can be "handed back"................is for our current president to continue governing like a "rat"

Lots of voters are not registered Democrats or Republicans and both parties need those votes. Candidates too far Left or Right will not draw them.

Did you watch the press conference this morning? If you did , then you are aware I am sure, that the question the President was asked is as follows:

"Do you think the country is ready for a total ban on abortion?" (or words to that effect, not a direct quote)

With that being the question, the President answered truthfully, "No, I don't think the country is ready for a total ban on abortion, nor is the congress." (same applies as above)

He was not asked if he wanted one, cared if there was one, wished there could be one, NO, he was asked his opinion of where the nation was.

I totally agree with his answer, this country will not accept a total ban on abortion. But thankfully, we got late term abortion banned.

If this President is not reelected, you can be sure the next socialist liberal democrat one will do just the same thing Clinton did when he came into office, he or God forbid, she, will LIFT the ban on partial birth abortion!!!

A little reality from President Reagan versus the unreal phonies claiming to be the only real conservatives in America.

The "real concervatives" on FR are the inverse of the liberals who are trying to smear Reagan on CBS.

Both sides distort his legacy for their own selfish political purposes and cling to it for dear life, IMO.

I thoroughly agree w/Barbara Bush's assessment of the "sorry group" trying to outdo each other in hating Bush. Negativity personified. Anyone who elects to stay home rather than vote for Bush is handing a vote to one of these losers. Is THAT what they want? If so, then they've mislabeled themselves as Republicans. Their excuse, I reckon, is that THEY have Principles (unlike the rest of us), you know. HA

Don't you know that Hillary running the show is much better than a "RINO".

Come on, get with the program, CM.

You're right, certain people did leave the Republican Party a long time ago. At the same time, now is not the time to marginalize those of a more conservative bent.
