THe one positive in the fire getting into Lake Arrowhead is the north side of the mtn range has already burned several times over the past years so it won't race down into Hesperia like it did a year or two ago. At least I don't think it will
To: nicmarlo
Fire is moving from Chatsworth into Brown Canyon toward DeSota. Three close calls in Indian Oaks but no homes were burned down.

"Has anyone out side of this region ever heard of the DelMarVa peninsula????"Ah, lived there for years. "VA doesn't care about us and the rest of hte world doesn't know we exist."
Simi fire stalled at hilltop by line of Boscheck laid down earlier to protect the transmission towers. Still huge of course.

That's why I started a news-only fire thread. Got swamped trying to find the updates in a mass of chatter. :)
Not that I mind the chatter - heck, I'm doing it, too... just on this thread. Keepin' the other thread as pure as I can.

That happened before I was out of the Taco Bell drive through just this afternoon....really....very same thing.

the babe Sandra Mitchell just reported singing legend Smokey Robinson refused to evacuate.
To: nicmarlo
Big time. I don't live here by choice :-)
To: Ladypixel
Glad you came back over! Chat is good when something like this is happening IMHO. Glad you started the other thread though for those that want only news.
Hard not to chat when fire is going on in places you know well and don't live there anymore and cannot get much on the cable non-news channels. Going to stay up tonight until KTLA goes to their news.
