If 9/11/01 had dawned with heavy overcast on the east coast, would the attack have been launched that day?

FBI: al-Qaeda detainee spoke of fire plot
USATODAY.com ^ | 10/27/2003

PHOENIX (AP) — The FBI alerted law enforcement agencies last month that an al-Qaeda terrorist now in detention had talked of masterminding a plot to set a series of devastating forest fires around the western United States. Rose Davis, a spokeswoman for the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, told The Associated Press that officials there took note of the warning but didn't see a need to act further on it...

Now someone started a fire in New Mexico --- also close to the Mexican border. I'm wondering if we're going to regret keeping the borders wide open to whoever wanted to come to the US for whatever reason they might come here. We're at war but we've done nothing to secure our own borders. It doesn't seem too smart.

Authorities Arrest Suspected Arsonist Hikers In Eaton Canyon Reported Man POSTED: 10:04 p.m. PST October 28, 2003

SNIPPET: "ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST -- A man was arrested Tuesday after deputies caught him setting a fire in a steep, remote canyon filled with dry brush and large trees in the Angeles National Forest, according to sheriff detectives.

Hikers in a remote trail about a half-mile north of the Eaton Canyon Bridge in Altadena saw a man making a fire there and alerted authorities, sheriff's Detective Ed Nordskog said.

Los Angeles County Parks officials and deputies arrived about 10 a.m. as the man was standing next to a fire about four feet in diameter. He warned the deputies to stay away and not extinguish the blaze, Nordskog said.

The man, identified as Dikran Armouchian, 23, of Pasadena, made comments about the fire he had started -- and a smaller one nearby -- as it was extinguished, Nordskog said."

The coincidence of the first day of Ramadan and the fires beginning might be off a bit. USGS has the first fires beginning in the 21st and many starting later on the 23rd.

I also find the areas being burnt rather interesting. The fires, if happenstance, happened to form an operational threatening pattern to the entire SoCal basin. That threat also included Ensenada, Mexico, essentially attempting to seal off all passes to isolate the area from other access.

It strikes me that there may have been a handful or more copycat arsonists running around after the first few days of reported fires, but before that time, a pattern had already been forming.

If this had been Al Quada, the fires in Ensenada don't seem as well justified. There might be other powers involved, which might also employ elements of Al Quada, as well as diverse segments and groups such as ELF, but if so then nationality might not be the identifying label for the real threat,...if these events were attributable to any centralized cause or conspiracy.

4 point seem unique. Ramadan, the pattern of the fires as an operational art, Ensenada had fires (so multinational in scope), Coincident with week of Halloween.

The points of the shape seem to imply some person or group intended these fires as an attack upon the metropolitan area.

The points of when the attack occurred are coincident with periods of possible activism by two disaparate groups with identifiable elements who have already declared themselves as enemies of the Constitution or at least criinal in behavior.

The fires in Ensenada tend to imply whatever root cause is ideed multinational in intent.

Other interests promoting/condoning the fire might have included some liberal Socialist Democratic perspectives. Over a million trees had been killed by the Bark Beetles. California has a finacial crisis. A fire of such scope might ave been viewed by controllable elements as a mechanism to socially redirect national assets to the region.

My perspective is that regardless of human intent, there are powers, authorities, and principalities which also influence events. The synchronicity of observable events and interests implies these diverse elements are usable to advance an ulterior agenda. Even if unintentional, these same elements may be used in an operatioal art to attack our nation in the future. Those elements need be controlled so as to act within and in obedience to God through Jesus Christ. It is interesting to note that all of the interests condoning the fire also act independent of God's will through Jesus Christ. (Namely, extreme Muslim, Paganism, socialism, even the possibility of a foreign nation attacking US and Mexican soil if such an outlandish conspiracy existed.)

I've noticed that where such awkward situations arise, there probably hasn't been an orchestrated conspiracy by any one or group of men, but spiritual warfare displays similar consequences. When righteous men reject temptation, others not so stout might then be attacked by spiritual warfare. Those attacked are frequently attacked per their perceived weaknesses.

In these situations the 'bad' part of those who are unbelievers tends to manifest itself per the independent and organized will of the respective unbeliever.

An extreme Muslim might act upon their view of vengeance or justice. A socialist might act out of implementing a controlled society independent of God. A Chinese general might be rehearsing and measuring response times of a regional infreastructure. A pagan might be conducting worship to a false god. An arsonist might simply be responding to a desire of the flesh or desire to control worldly power.

Perhaps the early rains were merely a Divine response to even one faithful prayer, and probably graceful divine gift to answer a cacauphony of the faithful appeals for intervention.

FWIW, I was speaking to some bureaucratic government employees today who implement environmental regulations. One of them made the comment that they hated to see the residents/victims of the fire lose their homes,...but he then proceeded to stipulate that he didn't feel sorry for those who lived in the national forest.

His perspective was that they liked to live in an apparant natural environment, but then they should accept the natural consequence of forest fires.

I fear there is a rather large contingent of such people in the US. Callous, cold, hardened hearts, even towards their fellow man to the point that they would ignore the impact such devestation has on the entire life of those directly effected by the fires.

Out of a grouping of perhaps several 100,000 people in California with that heartless perspective, I wouldn't be surprised if several hundred could be manipulated in a Caligula/Nero-type conspiracy to actually cause such calamity.
