Remember how I was wondering about plan B? I've read that the lawyer has been talking about renal failure a lot today. If her kidneys aren't watched closely and they shut down she will die. She will have fluids and food but she will still die. She needs that guardian now, and not 5 days from now.

PC, please see post #397. Was it you that posted that information on the other long thread, or do you remember who did? I am still looking for it.

*****IMPORTANT*****
Tonight, during the first hour of Coast To Coast A.M., there will be an update on Terri Schiavo by Pamela Hennessy, the volunteer spokesperson for the family.
If you need more information or if you want to find an affiliate in your area, go to www.coasttocoastam.com
Since the show is done late at night, it should be the very latest information. Don't miss it!

and more importantly, why
do some so many of the people on FR want this woman to assume room temp? I am very disturbed by this.
Just the latest in a great number of disappointments on this forum IMHO

Why does this thread bother you so much? I've seen a lot worse, here.

Her family has no right to her. Michael is her legal guardian. Jebs law did not change that. She is not missing. Michael (like it or not) is her family. She is not missing, by this legal standard.
Let's be fair and balanced, here.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You know where Terri is and what she needs minute by minute ~ You have sustained her these many years, and we thank You. It is our earnest plea, dear Lord, that nothing that man plans against her would be allowed to stand ~ we stand guard over her through our prayers to You, that all of the protection of the Heavenly Host will surround this mother's child and keep her from all harm.
We are stunned, Heavenly Father, at the treatment one can inflict upon another. We cannot appreciate that this is horror from hell ~ that all of the forces of the prince of the power of the air are coming against a defenseless woman. Again, we rebuke satan and all his minions ~ again, we ask that the Presence of the Holy Spirit in any room, or in any place Terri is in, will hold back any force that may come against her.
Before the Throne of Grace, we again plead for Terri's life and for her protection, that she might be returned to the loving care of her family. We look to You as the One to hold her above this evil, that she not be further harmed. May it be thus, dear Lord, may it be thus, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

If I remember correctly, Florida has "Old Sparky", and not the Needle ... I think Old Sparkey would be less humane and more fittin' for this perp, don't you? I thought Old Sparky was retired after the sponge on somebody's head caught fire.
Though if I had my druthers (which, probably fortunately, I don't) three people would be locked up in a cell with nothing but each other for a week while I decided what to do next.

I am too. I wonder in what way they feel they will be hurt if Terri lives, and is allowed to be cared for.

She's probably fully hydrated by now, but would be nowhere near recovered from the effects of dehydration, which would have wreaked havoc on her body chemistry, and take at least several days to put back in order.
To: deport
It seems to me that the intent of the just-enacted legislation is abundantly clear. Necesary hydration and nutrition will not be withheld from an infirm, brain damaged, but otherwise physically viable person, and, according to Governor Bush's order, from Terry Schaivo in particular.

It doesnt "bother [me] so much", as much as it stirs up the gullible into an emoitional tizzy based on a spin of the facts. Ummm....some might call that lying.
Read my post directly before this one.
But then again, since we have seen much worse (can you point me to a thread where the facts and truth were so skewed as this one?), I guess it's okay. It's all relative, isn't it?
