Her family has no right to her. Michael is her legal guardian. Jebs law did not change that. She is not missing. Michael (like it or not) is her family. She is not missing, by this legal standard.
Let's be fair and balanced, here.

BTW--Michael Schiavo is soon to be replaced as the legal guardian.

CLEARWATER, Fla. - (KRT) - A judge agreed Wednesday to appoint a special guardian for Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-damaged woman whose tragic case has set off a legal firestorm in Florida. But it was unclear exactly how broad the guardian's powers will be, or how he or she might affect Michael Schiavo's ability to make medical decisions on behalf of his wife.

He shouldn't be considered her family any longer, since he has a wife and kids waiting for him at home. That changes his place in Terri's life drastically. Lets be fair and balanced here. It should at least change the guardianship to a blood relative.

Since when are your parents and siblings not considered your family?
And you call yourself fair and balanced.
Michael will not divorce her and he is living with another woman and has started a family with this woman. Legally he is a bigamist if Florida recognizes common law marriage. With one child and one on the way, I would say he is married to the other woman. He has morally given up his right to be Terri's husband.
According to her brother, Terri was planning to divorce Michael S. when she suffered the collaspe. There is a very good chance he had something to do with her collapse. He lied when he obtained the settlement and said he would use it for her rehabilitation. So at the least, he is a liar and there needs to be an investigation into all of this including the money.

One disturbing thing is Michael Schiavo had just given the family "permission" to see Terri. Apparently, before they arrived at the hospital, Michael had her moved back to the hospice.
I think it's clear he's acting in bad faith, and not in the best interest of his wife (who couldn't possibly have recovered in 24 hours from the trauma of no food and water for six days).
The new legal guardian can't come quickly enough! Michael's doing all he can to kill her.

Let's be fair and balanced, here. Yes, lets don't interject any ideas like right and wrong, moral and immoral. Let us all try to think in legalese then we can all get along. </sarcasm>
