THIS IS INSANE!! THAT WOMAN KNOWS SOMETHING! THEY WANT HER DEAD!! I agree. I just E-Mailed John Ashcroft stating somewhat the same thing. I also asked if Jeb Bush could be appointed guardian for the time being
Think I'll E-Mail the Attorney General in Florida - it's worth a try!
To: Piltdown_Woman
If I recall right that is exactly the way he meant it. The news media made it out to be that if she did not want to live, he meant it to be if she did want to live.
Maybe someone else will remember!
I am tired so my brain is not 100 percent there.

"Jesuit priest on Night Line arguing for the starvation of Terri Schiavo"
OK , got to comment on that one. A Catholic Hospital will not do 2 things:
They won't perform an abortion
They won't deny food and fluids to a person: g-tube, or no g-tube (wish Terri could be sent to a Catholic hospital for this reason)
But as far as I'm concerned a Jesuit priest is not Catholic- they are Catholic-lite i.e. tastes great, but less fulfilling i.e. Jesuit- "I call myself Catholic, but I don't agree with any of the teachings of The Church". They use the the do-what-feels-good-doctrine.
By the way: Watch out- the left is going to try and spring into action with a massive media dis-information campaign-Terri's in a coma exc.. they will also try to get Jeb Bush with this, But that's ok. Let them. Let the democRATS run against Jeb on a "starve the disabled to death" platform. This is a fundamental difference between the left and the right. It should be made clear to people what the left stands for; i.e. execution of the disabled, weak, those who can't speak up for themselves.. go ahead RATS, run with it.

Someone earlier said he already was. I can't confirm.

I first read it that if she wanted to live then I read the commentary above it and thought he meant the opposite.
Hopefully he will clarify his remarks - now that it is being quoted on CNN (yeah, I know, but he probably cares)

Some are, some aren't. The Jesuit's historical record is tremendous - they produced some of the best thinkers and writers down the ages.
I can't deny that they've gone way downhill... probably deeply infiltrated... but I'm hoping there are some left in that organization who remember their roots and can fight to bring it back to it's former place of honor in Catholic tradition.

I am tired so my brain is not 100 percent there. Go get some rest. God has moved mountains today, and He is in charge. You need your strength for tomorrow's battles. :^)

Does anyone think that God would judge anyone here for fighting for life? God will bless everyone who fights for his children, especially those who cannot speak for themselves. I'm sure he is smiling right now because Terri still has a chance and, they have banned partial birth abortion. Heaven help those that wanted the bill to fail.
Just thinking - a short time ago I heard of the good old Stem Cells that has been a topic of conversation. They inserted same into the dead tissue of a diseased heart and that area was rebuilt. Wouldn't it be great if they could insert cells into the damaged tissue in Terri's brain and she fully recovered?

Wonderful quote - I am going to let that thought be my last thought tonight.
Thank you.

I'd be interested in seeing a yea/nay breakdown by party affiliation. Has anyone seen anything like that?
To: kenth
Do you happen to have an address for Senator Daniel Webster? He doesn't have one listed on his page. He was one of the primary spokesmen for Terri and it would be a shame if he didn't get a thank you message.
To: ordinaryguy
I'll get the links and send them to you in a few minutes.

Ping me on those as well please, I'm curious about the breakdown too. I've seen the list of names but they didn't have party affiliation with 'em.
