TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

I believe he misled Terris parents. Maybe not intentionally, but he did.
Maybe he spoke with them maybe he didn't. I've not seen anything official that has been issued by his office.... everything I've seen or read has been hearsay, he said/they said type stuff....
I'd think that if he had anything to say about it and in an effort to clear up any misunderstandings he would have issued a statement from his office.... This controversy isn't going to help him in his Senate run.... so why not clear it up before it gets out of hand? jmo

I'm about to the point in my life that I really fully understand this "government" process.
Politicians don't bother to listen to their constituents UNLESS they want money for a race. That's it. Alas, we don't have money. We're not a PAC, so we don't count.
I'd be willing to bet that FAT CAT Jim King has money hanging out of his pockets as he squishes when he walks. He could care less about Terri or anyone else! And Jeb is just quaking in his boots - unable to make a decision one way or another. They make me sick.

James Dobson on Hannity just 10 minutes ago stated that the father offered the husband a half a mil if he would let them take care of Terri.
Husband still looks like a POS.

I'm in just about the same place, I used to believe it made a difference, and now I know better.
Despite this, I know I'll have to vote for President Bush, the alternative being so awful, so dangerous. He is a leader. Not perfect, but a darned sight better than most presidents we've had. But Jeb---never, never. I mean to do my uttermost to support boycott of Florida, change of the laws, and the political retirement (without honors) of Jeb Bush, self-styled "champion of the disabled."

Glen Beck is talking about Terri Sciavo right now.
To: Lovergirl
I really can't come up with any valid reason to disagree.
One group wants to euthanize us and the other group is willing to let them. There is no difference..
I may be able to find someone worthy of a vote but there's no guarantee that even one is left.
Things have gone way to far to ever again accept the lesser of two evils.

Sorry, I think the show is 9AM-Noon Eastern, so I guess this is a delayed broadcast I am listening to on KNEW 910 AM.

Same with me.. I think my days at freerepublic are numbered, my days of flying my flag proudly for GW are comming to an end. At this point I don't think I will vote again. It appears to all be a game that I don't want to play anymore.
