Gov. Bush calls special session over Terri Schiavo

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.

The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

He's just taking phone calls now... hasn't brought Terri up as yet... but he said he would be talking about her case shortly...

He did mention the possibility of Jeb Bush for Prex in '08. Bad timing on that one.

Sean Hannity just said that the FL legislature is about to take up legislation to save Terri. I don't think he knows what Paul Harvey calls "the rest of the story."

Dr. James Dobson will discuss Terri after the 4 p.m. (Eastern) news -- on Sean's show.

Every time I went to Fox, it was Kobe, Kobe, Kobe. I turned the TV off in a real rage. Back to FR to hear the legislature had taken no action.

There was only one senate meeting, and it wasnt mentioned. According to Byrds office and Kings office, and Jebs office, it was never going to be mentioned because there was never such a bill.

I suggest calling those above mentioned offices and asking them. :)

As far as I Can tell, "Terri's Bill" Never existed, as sad as that is.

I emailed Lisa, who is on the FRONT LINES with the family. I was SO UPSET that the Special Session was adjourned withOUT the Terri Bill being heard.

I JUST HEARD BACK FROM HER and she said that "WE WEREN'T WATCHING THE RIGHT ONE!!!!!!!! "She said she would get back with me!! KEEP PRAYING AND DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!! Polly

You do know that Johnnie Byrd was out campaigning and making his kickoff for the US Senate yesterday, don't you. I question if it was ever in the plans for him to introduce a bill..... Just don't know.

There are some word-plays here that no one should miss. It used to be hospice was for the terminal. Notice the new term life-limiting.
