TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

I just made a quick visit to several of the threads. There are pro-death disrupters on almost every thread, ready to fight.
At this point, it behooves us who are hoping that Terri lives to IGNORE THEM.
It's way past discussion time. IMO, they are persona non grata.
Their only goal at this point is to twist the knife slowly into the heart of every decent soul who mourns this sorry spectacle.
Why should we play into their sick and twisted game?

Heck, it's on King's website. One of his 'honors' mentioned.

Hospice is a special concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments There are some word-plays here that no one should miss. It used to be hospice was for the terminal. Notice the new term life-limiting. They are prepping for acceptance of the chronically ill and disabled who cannot be brought to a normal state of health by modern medicine. Now what do you think they are going to do with these individuals?

This is nothing more than another step in what has become a macabre dance of smoke and mirrors.
Any legislative remeby would be shot down by a judge as "unconstitutional" before the ink was dry.
Even executive action would not suffice at this late date. True, executive action could not be challenged by courts, but even that would not address the the fatal aspect of the problem.
Schiavo is still the guardian.
Even if feeding was resumed now, it would not be enough to save Terri. She would also need medical treatment for any damage done to her body, having been denied nourishment and hydration for five days. This could involve dialysis among other things.
As guardian, Schiavo has the authority to decline this or any medical treatment, especially since Terri is now in a hospice.
There can be no doubt, even among the most optimistic, that he would deny her any such treatment.

Yes....but the first order of business is the Scripps investment......note 'solely & exclusive purpose' of funding this ecomonic development.....I fear we will see not 'Terri's Bill' this afternoon.

Yeah I'm listening now.
Doesn't sound good.

"Why should we play into their sick and twisted game"It is self evident that anyone who does not accept the fact that life, itself, has intrinsic value, has no business being involved in a discussion about the fate of a human being.
This is really no time to be distracted by a devil's advocate.

I guess I could go back and find the radio station again and see if I could call the station. I didn't catch the call letters, and wondered if anybody else had heard this on another report IF you could find that out dawn53, That would be SUPER. I have been trying for the last hour to find out more about it. Someone else posted about the sister Suzanne, being heard by a Circuit Judge Moore, ( a Reagan appointee) Trying to dig up all I can on that. Pollywog

Ironic that 300 million will be invested for this research....but not even a word to save a disabled person's life.
Chaplin now praying.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my fear. IF her feeds were resumed, what damage has been done from starvation for 5 days? And, given that damage, would her husband allow medical treatment to correct/support the damage.
With this bill, if there is actually a bill, would Michael still remain the guardian, or, does the bill also entail investigation into Michael, removing him as the guardian until the investigation is over?
From what I have read and been told by Senate, Governor offices etc, there is no hope that anything is going to reverse this at this point.
I pray that if, for some reason, it is reversed and her feeding tube is reinserted, they also make arrangements for proper support care to be given regarding the damage done to her body from the removal of feedings/hydration for the past 5 days.
May God be with Terri and her family at this time.
Whoops! I think I had the Fl house on, This is going to be brought up in the Fl Senate, right?
To: JulieRNR21
I just heard the "call" (what is to be considered by the Legislature) issued by the governor read to the House and Teri WAS NOT listed. I may have missed it. The guy was kind of mumbling.
Amen to chaplins prayer!!!!!!!
