TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

The Glory betto our God,
But after that, it all comes down to one sentence:
In America, is it legal for ANY ONE PERSON to have the power to declare life or death over anyone else?
(Just on their word?)
It seems to me, that is why we have a republic, so that one person cannot declcare a law.

Thank you. Your attitude and statements surely reflect positively on the pro-life movement. You win a legislative victory to save a human and then wish violence and ill on another. Do you also advocate the assasination of abortionists? If not, why not?

Prayers for another miracle today for Terri.

You sound just like mom!!
Thanks, sis! LOL

You, my friend, you. Are you a Texan or what? Sure, I could use force to establish my rights over my children. Even though I might meet the same fate as the Weavers. Under that same logic, it would appear that Michael would be justified to use all means necessary to prevent the state from exercising his rights as a spouse.
By the way, would you mount the same effort and expend the same energy to defend my parental rights as you have expended in defense of this poor woman?

Michael Schiavo needs to ___________ ___________ . Fill in the blanks.

If you're the type that doesn't believe in immunizing yoour children, then I have nothing to say to you What kind of "type" is that? I have a cousin with an autistic child. There is a great deal of evidence linking autism to certain immunizations. If my wife and I have another child, should we not have the right to make the decision of what we feel is best for our child? Or do you and your other so-called conservative cohorts believe that it is the role of the state to override my parental authority?

Someone clue me in...Is there some definition of "vegetative state" the press keeps using that I'm missing??! The press is simply perpetuating the lie by Michael Schiavo's lawyers and the courts that Terri is in a Persistent Vegetative State.
Some media outlets are now starting to change their reports to "brain-damaged" and "near vegetative state."

You know---that is funny...FL actually doesn't have a recall. I thought Jim King was a "Christian" yet he is not wanting to pass this. HOWEVER---I heard tonite through the Family Research Council that the Senate passed it.

In America, is it legal for ANY ONE PERSON to have the power to declare life or death over anyone else? (Just on their word?)Sure it is and millions of women have been allowed to legally exercise that power for many years as a result of Roe v. Wade.
To: floriduh voter
DISGUSTING. Bush ought to have the State Troopers plop Terri in an ambulance if necessary to get this going.
