You may have a point, but if Terri was a practicing Catholic before her collapse, Mikey doesn't have grounds, other than his own whim, to deny last rites. I'm not a lawyer, but it seems at least debatable as to whether his whim would rule in this instance.

I am from Pittsburgh and our LOCAL news station just had an exerpt about Terri. They even showed pictures of those in front of the hospice. It's getting more and more attention.

Sure, I can try to contact them, but realistically, a nobody who's never "worked with them", with an "over the transom submission", stands very little chance of having my email do anything except land in the "some day, maybe" pile.
What we need is action, and when we need it is now. To quote Stokely Charmichael, whom I heard say this at the UN anti-war rally in '67 back when I was a wild-eye'd leftist, "when a woman is being raped, she doesn't want 'negotiations', she wants immediate withdrawal."
I was hoping someone with a media contact who's got the inside track to Jackson could get a message to him.

I read about how they stopped feeding her.
I read where the parents felt there were responses (in their opinion).
I wondered if there was and brain scan taken to verify activity.
In general I was told it hasn't been done in ten years because it would probably conflict with what they are doing RIGHT NOW.
You need to watch your temper...
I am an extremely logical person and I am the kind that asks about the facts, so when I didn't know, I simply asked and wasn't trying to be rude or insensitive.
This attitude with this woman is due IMO because there are so many liberal elderly folks there and their families have probably been playing this death game in hospitals for some time.
The way things are going, I thing it is possible it could be a trend. As we all get older and the younger population becomes the minority of the population, I see the young getting pretty fed up with having to pay for the elderly.
I also see this trend as a way for them to get a hold of a lot of wealth early.
This case has residual effects in the future as I see it.
How nobody in ten years could get a brain scan seems outrageous to me.

You may not be lawyer, but you have a good point!
She was a devout Catholic before her "accident", so it must be assumed that she would want this most important Sacrament. Michael can not take her First Amendment rights away. No one can.
EVERYBODY, CONTACT the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.
Mr. William Donahue is great at bringing reports of anti-Catholic bias to the public's attention.
He can work REALLY fast.
