Muriatic acid (aka hydrochloric acid, H-Cl, kids) is also readily available and cheap, 6 times the Chlorine as household bleach with "Hindenburg" hydrogen.

We shall reap the whirlwind from ignorance of Americans who never learned any basic chemistry in our government schools, as their required physical science classes and optional chemistry were passed thru like englesh.

IMHO, every air traveler should carry-on in pocket during flight SWIM GOGGLES ($6 to $25 - 'Seal Aquasphere' brand are great) in case of smoke or blinding contaminations. One must rely on the Oxygen masks.

We are all on the front lines in this islamofascist Terror War.

Unless the note said something more ominous than what we've told this is a bad idea. What sort of terrorist would leave a note expressing concern for security?

You are profiling (I like it).

Under my profile rules, everyone regardless of age is a potential terrorist. Just thing of the number blonde haired blue eyed radicals and anarchists from the 1960's who are now grandmas and grandpas.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a passenger...could be ground crew personnel.

I tell my husband (who's a commercial airline pilot) that's what I'm most afraid of...imbedded terrorists.

I agree this was someone sending a message..

What's really pathetic is that in our modern five-minute attention span society, we actually really need messages like these to be sent out on a fairly regular basis. About half the country already wants to declare an end to the war on terror, including a few regulars on this board.

I did a real stupid thing once watching my floor. I ran out of Clorox and mixed in with ammonia I had. My husband woke up screaming you trying to kill everyone?!

Agreed......sadly it will take another 9/11 to wake this country up to the danger lurking out there.

If we think for a moment, terrorist organizations don't have operatives deeply imbedded in alot of our activities/businesses/organizations/offices, etc---think GITMO and the military ones already found there.

FoxNews: Per the FAA/Airlines, the searches will not cause any delays.

If that's true, then why aren't these types of search SOP?

Just picking on the FedGov, starting with a Congress that imposed an inefficient measure to a complex problem.

If zero risk was possible, that's what they'd opt for. It would be an easy business decision. The fact is, there is no "zero risk" scenario.

what I'm most afraid of...imbedded terrorists.

I am also concerned about this possibility. Additionally, I'm concerned about yahoos who would think it's really cool to "test" the security in this way.
