Yep, All the Skankee Pitchers will be tired and burnt out while the Marlin pitchers are well rested

Nah. Andy Pettit's rested up. And the Marlin's are in the air at 1:00 am headed to NY, while the Yankess are home in bed.

Hillary is not a Yankee fan, she is not a New Yorker and the jury is out on whether she is, indeed, an Earthling.

My sis lives in Buffalo. I'm a "playoffs only" fan. I don't care much, either way. But I like to "get invested" when a local team manages to get in playoff position. Brewers, Packers, Tigers, Sox, Patriots ... they are nothing but businesses. Funny how a person can get wrapped up in hope.

Good series. The Yanks pulled it out. We Red Sox fans have nothing to be ashamed about! Go Yanks against the Marlins!!!!!!!!!!

*virtual handshake* Thanks, Burkeman. INCREDIBLE series, right down to the last second. The Red Sox have nothing to be ashamed of.

Oddly enough, even today, the Sox are tied (with the Giants) for the third most number of World Series ever won, with 5. A's have 9. Yanks have ... twenty-six.

The old saw is that if they can get out of NY with a split they have a chance. But the Yanks had the best road record in the majors.

Fans in FL could carry the team. They haven't been around all year to cheer so they should be well rested (yuk).

And here I was desparately wishing for a Red Sox/Cubs Fall Classic.

Now I'm just disgusted.

Same here... It definitely won't be as much fun watching the Yankees (again) vs. Marlins. Oh well... more time for FR!

The commentators on NESN (New England Sports Network) now insisting that the Red Sox were a better ball club than the Yankees. Yeah, sure...

Don't you mean, how did Florida make it to the World Series when the Red Sox spent 67% more than Florida, and the Red Sox didn't make it?

I don't blame Wake for trying to get a first strike into a weak hitter. I don't blame Grady for leaving Pedro in. Pedro had some gas left but he threw a hittable pitch on 0-2.

I'm guessing you're talking about Jackie Autry. I believe she owns the Anaheim Angels, who won the ALCS and the World Series last year.

Ya know, if the Marlins were smart, they would have left a few hours ago for NY. Then if Boston had won, they could have taken off for a short hop to Boston and gotten in a couple of hours earlier.

After watching the game, and calming down after the Red Sox lost, I am seriously pissed off. I can promise you that tommorows talk in New England will be one that criticizes Little for not taking out Martinez when the time was right.

This was our (Red Sox) game to win. We were going to win this....and we blew it.

I do not plan on watching the world series either now.
