I finally got 5 hours this morning, I went to bed at 5:00. Thankfully my son was off from school today. I have been averaging about 2 hours a night. I need to find a spell checker!! I keep mispelling simple words.

Most definately I would want my wife or child to have the very best care money could buy. I would beg, borrow and steal to provide it. I guess the difference in what i'm saying and what actually happened is that i'm looking through the eyes of a spouse who truly cares about their partner and this fella has screwed her every chance he's gotten. Perhaps she wouldn't be in the state she's in if she had gotten the care she needed at the time.

You'd think a governor of a state as large as Florida would comprehend this and act according to his expressed beliefs found in the amicus brief he filed on Terri's behalf. But we see Jeb Bush is incapbale of mustering the courage to act on his own words! It proves he didn't believe what he filed, thus he is not only cowardly, he is two-faced. Not the sort I'd want as a governor or president ... we've already endured clinton in that role.

It's beyond disgusting how JEB has lied to the public on this issue. I can't imagine his mama is very proud of him today. He has now proven himself the Ted Kennedy of the Bush family. He is just as evil as "ex" hubby and the judge. He has his share of blood on his hands. Here's hoping the Florida voters remember this.

Don't most medical experts get paid when they testify? Or, is there pro-bono work, like with the lawyers were for the Schindlers?

Have you had trouble getting through to his office? 3 times now I have gotten through but then it starts making weird noises and disconnects. It is not my phone, because when it is a busy signal everything is fine.

I base this on what I have read and seen, I don't see much of a light in her eyes in the film clips I have seen. But since I made that post I have researched it a little better and don't have quite the stand that I had in the beginning. I still don't think she's coherrent and aware of her surroundings, but I did see her laugh at a cartoon clip. I'm still not on your side per se' but I am for postponing it and placing someone else as executor/guardian so that this piece of $hit husband doesn't make the decision.

Yes it would be terrible if my wife did that to me when I didn't say or want to be dead if that happened to me. However I have told her exactly that, I'd rather be dead. But that doesn't mean I have the say so on this woman or anyone else.

BREAKING POINT
We are all there.

Does anyone know if Michael still works at Morton Plant Mese Countryside hospital?
If so, I would certainly NEVER go to that hospital and I would also urge others to boycott that place, too!

Who would want a MURDERER to be their attending RN?

The parents needed to have a pro-Terri guardian appointed. Not one in favor of the husband, or in favor of them, but in favor of Terri's assumed right to live. That guardian, not the parents, but the guardian then could have brought an Equity case, saying, "we don't care who the closest next of kin is, she probably desires to live and she deserves to live."

I believe there was ONE other court guardian appointed to her who determined that in his evaluation and based on Dr.'s opinions, that Terri would be an excellent candidate for rehabilitation.

In addition, he protested to the husband being her guardian and pointed out the conflict of interest (money and girlfriend) as well as the fact that the husband was denying any rehabilitation attempts or tests and had also tried to deny the regurlarly given "comfort care" including antibiotics for a urinary tract infection.
This was HIS determination as a court appointed guardian a determination he was required to make.
He was recommending that another guardian be ordered for Terri (court appointed or otherwise) and that rehabilitation be considered and started.
His recommendation was denied and in addition he was discontinued as a guardian/observer.

I have just received an unconfirmed third-hand report from a source I trust implicitly, saying that he has asked his brother (POTUS) to take action so that he can intercede.

What? W is away eating sushi and shouldn't be asked to clean up baby bro's mess. It would show the world that W is a moral man and it would be wonderful if he could save Terri, but how does that relieve The Spineless One of his responsibility? I can hear it now, JEB'll be whining he simply didn't have enough time to go over it all with his lawyers/advisors, blah, blah, blah to step in. Without water, Terri only has hours if not minutes. If she's given water much later, the damage done may be irreversible.

Too bad that by the time I got up to speed here today, the thread has been pulled. I'm sure I would've enjoyed the show! And God bless MarMema for her willingness to go the last mile with strela.

I honestly think you need an incident down there. Not mayhem that endangers Terri or anyone else, but something that gets media attention.
There are other things, that also hurt no one, but I'm not sure it's legal to say.

I have been a Terri supporter on these threads. I believe we are seeing a definite foot in the door for legalized euthanasia.

However, I will no longer post on these threads and will do my thing in my own supportive way.

Strela is a friend of mine. He's a gentleman, a loyal freeper, an avid, long-time supporter of FR activities, a veteran and an outstanding patriot.

Many of us got to know him on the recent FRN fund-raising cruise and found him to be unassuming, congenial, a lot of fun, and an enormous help to me personally in my duties as Bahama Mama, chair of the freeper event.

I was sickened by the gang-attack on the now-deleted thread from some of you who are posting on the Terri threads. It was like a pirhanna fish-frenzy.

Strela posited an opinion of his and asked for input. Then, vicious attacks, sick "humor" and name calling began. It evolved into a concerted onslaught. It's still continuing on this thread.

Here's just one example of a comment directed at this good freeper friend of mine:

"I'd like to know whether to picture you (Strela) in my mind as an SS Colonel or a female Death Camp guard".

You arrogant attackers know who you are. You do NO GOOD for a good cause with your hysteria, and with your vicious, caustic and distorted comments. You nauseate me. You bring shame to FR. You apparantly want to drive good freepers away. Keep it up, and you will.

Having recently filed a living trust document in which I said "absolutely no herioc measures in the event my condition becomes either hopelessly vegetative or beyond medical capabilities for a short term recovery", I cannot agree with you. If she is incapacitated, the decision is her husband's to make, NOT her parents. Parents lost legal standing when she married.

1. She is neither "hopelessly vegetative or beyond medical capabilities"
2. Her "husband" is in violation of Florida statute by virtue of being shacked up and having fathered two spawn via his shackmate.
3. Her Guardian Ad Litem said that her "husband" should NOT be allowed to dictate her death due to his conflict of interest.
4. By your statement, you demonstrate that your knowledge of the specifics of this case is utterly vacant.
5. Your "logic" has been found to be flawed, lacking, and generally cold, vicious, and inhumane.

Thanks for playing. Better luck next time.
