Trump sent a message by targeting Bill Cassidy. In defeat, Cassidy delivered one back

Cassidy signaled in his concession speech, without mentioning Trump, that he could spend the final months of his term being more of a thorn in Trump’s side – or at least more openly critical of his party.

“Let me just set the record straight: Our country is not about one individual. It is about the welfare of all Americans and it is about our Constitution,” Cassidy said. “And if someone doesn’t understand that and attempts to control others through using the levers of power, they’re about serving themselves. They’re not about serving us. And that person is not qualified to be a leader.”

Cassidy thinks he’s describing President Trump. In reality he indicted himself. And The People in due course removed his tone-deaf azz from power.

Former U.S. Senator and Ambassador Jeff Flake is now based in the American West and serves as the director of the Institute of Politics at Arizona State University. In addition to his role at ASU, he is the chair of the Board of Directors for World Trade Center Utah.

He thinks he’s MacArthur addressing Congress after Truman fired him.

Being a thorn in Trump’s side is serving all of us how? Sounds more like he’s putting his spitefulness ahead of we the people.

An incumbent who comes in third in his own primary? Damn fool should just shut up and go away before he embarrasses himself any further. Definitely loser poster boy material.

Given the polls leading up the election, you’d think he would have time to come up with something a bit more eloquent. That statement is a sloppy mess

Cassidy thought Trump was done after J6 and collaborated with his enemies. He thought wrong. Good riddance.

Cassidy will remain in office until the end of the year and could cause Trump a bit of grief in the U.S. Senate where the Republicans hold a three seat majority. He could team up with Collins and Murkowski and start voting with the Rats and gum up the Senate for the next six plus months.

The mask is removed and he wants to go full McCain in his last months in office.

It's even worse then what you posted Smoking Joe:

Jeff Flake is currently serving as the director of the Institute of Politics at Arizona State University and is also a Professor of Practice at the same institution. He stepped down as U.S. Ambassador to Turkey in September 2024 after serving in the role from 2021 under President Joe Biden.
