Outgoing Ohio governor Mike DeWine has given his endorsement in this year's governor's race.
DeWine has thrown his support behind Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and his newly-announced running mate, Rob McColley.
DeWine's endorsement comes on the same day that Amy Acton announced her running mate, Cincinnati native and former city councilmember and Hamilton County Commissioner David Pepper.
Neither Ramaswamy or Acton are their official party nominees, but are expected to win their respective primaries.

Well there’s another reason to sit out the gubernatorial election. Sat out DeWine’s last election also.
I hope the Republicans smarten up and replace Vivek with someone who can actually win….but I doubt it will happen

No, it won't, unfortunately. I absolutely can't stand that guy. His idea to raise the voting age to 25 unless you served "at least six months" in the military or as a first responder" was one of the stupidest things I'd ever heard in my life. Worse than that, it was a sign to me that Ramaswamy believes himself to be knowledgeable things about which he knows nothing, and doesn't bother checking first with those who know better.
This smug, condescending jeet is going to cost the Right another winnable red-state election.
The Trump-voter base is not going to come out to support a tech-bro grifter that thinks we need more H1B workers to MAGA.
An endorsement from DeWine may be the kiss of death for Vivek.

Maybe he would have a chance if he would put out one more statement that suggests that Indians are better than Americans. I think that would do it.
Ramaswamy defines American identity as a binary, creed-based commitment
to ideals rather than a, "blood and soil" or ancestry-based, heritage.
Mike DeWine is an example of “toxic Christianity.” Like the false Popes, he embarrassed those who would destroy our values - such as Haitian voodoo practitioners - believing it to be “Christian empathy.” It is in fact narcissism and suicide. I am not surprised he would endorse a Hindu Marxist grifter who is posing as a conservative. I AM, however, disappointed that Trump is backing Ramascammy as well.

My friends give him a chance. He is low-risk high-reward. If he loses it pops his balloon. If he wins the office twice then we may have a potential winning POTUS down the road. Ohio is more solid red than before so we can run with him. If he gets exposed as a fraud it’s not like he’ll have an effect on the senate which is where the drama is.

While Vswek words that poorly,I agree. Our country was founded on ideals and principles. I will accept anyone who adheres to those founding beliefs. I will reject those who reject them including those born here. I am closer to an immigrant who upholds our ideals than a native born prog/socia/communist.
I will take a hard working, family oriented, devout Catholic, Mexican every day over a grifting, control freak, gender twisting, global warming, white native.
But VV will lose Ohio to Acton and Pepper. I cannot stand is smarmy grifting attitude. He has the answers to questions no one is asking. This speaks poorly of JD.
Issues, plural...Why would a near billionaire want to be governor of Ohio? Changes, it’s as simple as that.
He wants to increase the population of Ohio from 11+ million to 15 million in his 4 year term. There is a residence in my immediate area that is owned by an Indian company. Is it a flop house for imported illegals. How is there only one gas station in a 20 mile radius near me not owned by indians. How is that even possible. Sounds like we have an active cabal going on here in multiple states.
