But I would posit that perhaps Ramaswamy signifies something more. If you are a youngish person looking to get into politics or some other career of public renown, it’s only natural that you would model yourself on the people in your lifetime who have had ostentatious success in those areas, people like Obama and Trump and Musk. It seems likely that, in the future, we will see a lot more politicians like Vivek Ramaswamy.

He is the present of politics. A Republican version of Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. Always ready with an answer tailor made for the audience. Not one substantive personal belief.
His past votes and support of people don’t match his words…. Then there’s the Soros connection. The left think the right is dumb enough not to notice.
It doesn’t take much to figure out that a political party with a voter base that’s 80% MAGA would support the MAGA candidate, as is the case with Trump, and would support the MAGA-lite candidate as a backup, as is the case with Vivek.
Particularly when all of the other candidates literally HATE MAGA voters, something we used to see here when DeSantis still had some credibility.

Democrat writer conveniently ignoring SwamiSwami’s ineligibility to run in that his parents were not naturalized citizens. The same sort of scam the Dems pulled with Obama and his phony birth certificate then the DNC approved him knowing full well he was not qualified by law. No one has been prosecuted for that fraudulent act. And now we have another one being foisted upon us. People need to smarten up and check facts before they let their emotions run away with their logic. It’s why these charlatans get a free megaphone.

Vivek is not even MAGA lite, he’s a poser like DeSantis pretending to be what he isn’t. I’m not fooled by what he says, because talk is cheap. I only took a chance with Donald John Trump, because he had the courage to say what he was saying, which was never heard from any Republican before.
The writer says a few marginally positive things about Vivek because he is attacking all the other Republican candidates in the "debate" so effectively.
What I conclude that the writer really wishes for is a young, attractive, wealthy Leftist candidate who will do the same thing. Attack Republican candidates effectively.
Biden is not that guy. Neither is Harris. Neither is JFK Jr. But the "future of politics" will surely belong to some younger, hungrier, and more aggressive man.
It is not a bad prediction, since that is always how things have worked since ages past. Our current gerontocracy is rather far from normal. Effective political and economic power normally vests in men aged 40-65.

Soros foundation was one source of his scholarship at Harvard. I received tuition scholarship in 1961 at University of Iowa. I can’t even remember name of sponsoring foundation now. College students will grab any source of funding for expensive college without a second thought.
