The Latest Iowa Poll Is Good News For Elizabeth Warren And Tulsi Gabbard
FiveThirtyEight ^ | September 23, 2019 | Nathaniel Rakich

On Saturday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren got one of her best polls of the cycle. According to a new survey by Selzer and Co. sponsored by the Des Moines Register, CNN and Mediacom, Warren has 22 percent support among Democrats in Iowa, the crucial first-in-the-nation caucus state. Former Vice President Joe Biden sits at 20 percent, followed by Sen. Bernie Sanders at 11 percent, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 9 percent and Sen. Kamala Harris at 6 percent.

Notably, this is the first high-quality poll to put Warren at the top of the field in Iowa, though her 2 percentage-point lead is well within the poll’s 4-point margin of error. Since the beginning of August, surveys of Iowa have been quite unsettled; some polls showed Biden with a healthy lead (but were conducted several weeks ago, before the third debate), while others showed Warren competitive or ahead (but they weren’t gold-standard1 polls).

Bernie Sanders Buys His Third House. His 2014 tax returns revealed that he and Jane made $205,617 that year, the bulk of which came from Sanders’s $174,000 Senate salary. (Jane, who previously made about $160,000 a year as the president of Burlington College, retired in 2011.)

Technically, Bernie’s salary places him in the top 4 percent...

I was born and raised in Iowa. I’ve lived in California for the last 20 years. I miss the the common sense people of Iowa who work hard and raise their kids right, although I’m sure that things have changed. And not for the better.

four weeks at most.Is a long long time in a primary campaign. Maybe he could come back from it. Re-enters the race Nov 3, 2019? Three weeks till thanksgiving. Decembers is a slow month for campaigning. He could hit it hard on Jan 2, and sprint to Iowa and New Hampshire (both in early Feb. this year) and hope for the best. Maybe he could do something in New Hampshire, but he was already falling in the polls.

It certainly isn't helping him!

(PS: I truly hate Bernie. I mean all the Dems are terrible, but Bernie is among the worst-of-the-worst. His entire political career has had the very unfortunate side-effect of popularizing "socialims", the ideology that killed about 100 million people in the last century. For that alone, he's a worm in the mud, at best.
