EXCLUSIVE: Joe Biden is not the Democrats’ official 2020 rival to Donald Trump, but the former Vice President and the former Celebrity Apprentice host are squaring off like contenders when it comes to Los Angeles fundraisers this month.
Just under two weeks after the upcoming 10-candidate debate, hosted by ABC News and Univision, nomination front-runner Biden will be making another Hollywood ATM swing through town on September 25 and 26. As the race narrows heading into the final months before the first primaries, the ex-veep again will be courting deep-pocketed West Coast donors who are sizing up how he’ll fare in a real race with the current POTUS.
According to an invite that went out on Tuesday, Biden will be attending an event at the home of Sean Burton, CEO of investment management firm Cityview, and his wife Teresa. Co-hosts of the event include Joe Waz, senior strategic adviser to Comcast Corporation, and his wife, Cynthia Telles, founding director of the UCLA Hispanic Neuropsychiatric Center of Excellence.
Tickets to the event start at $1,000 per person, with those who write a $2,800 check getting a photo with Barack Obama’s VP, and those who raise $10,000 listed as co-hosts.

I’m not so sure. Most powerful people realize that President Trump is likely to be re-elected and people go with a winner.
I puzzle how to tell FReepers that this race is about money. We need 25% of the people who sat out the last election, to dig into their wallets and give. Both to Trump, the Senate and to win back the House.
I looked it up. It claims to be “...optimally serving the unique mental health needs of the Hispanic/Latino community.” Which begs the question, what other ethnic groups have unique mental health needs? Will UCLA consider an ‘African-American Neuropsychiatric Center of Excellence or perhaps a ‘Scandinavian Neuropsychiatric Center of Excellence?
You mean the way the Rats have gone with the guy who won 306 Electoral Votes a few years ago?
I’m attempting to raise $1,000,000 for Trump. Before you scoff, I raised over $40,000 for the late Fred Thompson in the short time he was in the race and have done other fundraising.
My DNA test says I’m 47% Scandinavian and 2% North African.
He will not be able to sneak in this time..

not a chance. Trump will probably out-raise Bidn by a factor of ten in L.A., and for several reasons:
1. The amounts to get close to Trump at the fundraiser are set WAY higher than the minuscule amounts Bidn is charging.
2. Trump is the incumbent President of the United States, so many have much more of a reason to curry favor.
3. The big campaign donation bucks won’t come rolling in for the Dems until an actual Dem nominee is selected.
4. It is very uncertain whether Bidn will even get the nomination to begin with.
5. Bidn is a weak candidate, and anyone paying close attention (presumably people willing to part with bucks are paying attention) know that Bidn has some serious handicaps due to his advancing age ...
Hang on here. I think we have a huge misunderstanding. I'm talking about the LA in Kalifornia,not the one in Oklahoma.
Be aware that *all* the money found in the one in Kalifornia is held by the filthiest,most depraved creatures to have ever walked the earth. The one in Oklahoma is an entirely different story.
