An MSNBC guest questioned the intelligence of Trump voters on Friday, asking if anyone who attended President Trump's rally in Manchester, N.H., can "point out Greenland on a map?"
On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump has asked his advisers whether the U.S. can acquire Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory, during "meetings, dinners, and passing conversations" because of Greenland's "abundant resources and geopolitical importance."
However, "The Beat" managing editor Tiffany Cross expressed concern when she heard that "the descendants of colonizers" are flimsily considering "taking land from indigenous people."
"This is something, you know his supporters are like just blind followers of his, and I wonder when this becomes a talking point of his on the campaign trail, can anybody at the MAGA rally point out Greenland on a map? Cross asked.

Never! :)
I know them...they do my taxes.
The only difference is that you wrote yours down in a thread comment.
BTW, I agree with your rant. :-)
Some in the family would disagree but I appreciate it!
Have a great one!

You too!
Ive very often typed out a post sometimes quite lengthy and reviewed it and thought it over and eventually deleted it. I dont often post threads and articles but a couple over close to 20 years were pulled by the mods. None of us are perfect in how we post but there is trial and error learning going on.
THOUGHT...
That’s one thing you do that I don’t do enough before I post!!
One of his stories was invading Greenland during WWII.
He claims it was the first Allied invasion.
Any way, they storm ashore to hit a German radio/weather station, the they were greeted by the handful of Germans as rescuers, have been unsupplied in quite a while.
The Germans were taken to the Naval prison in Portsmouth, NH.
Apparently, there were a small number of German stations on the Greenland coast, and my neighbor was only involved in shutting down one of them.
Cool.
My Dad went there for 30 days at a time while stationed at Elmendorf AFB, AK. I think he had 3 months EAFB/1 month Sonderstrom for a while.
I have his slide collection and will begin scanning it into digital pics. Looking forward to finding the ones from an unplanned trip to Greenland: a C-130 suffered an in-flight engine separation and had to land on the icecap. An AF crew was put together and taken to repair in place.
This woman is an idiot.
Everybody knows Greenland is where you turn left to get to America.
Sheesh.
I keep looking for the “Like” button...
Oops, pretty big error here as I found out on a visit there several years back. Started off as a Viking settlement at a time when there was no real worry about national sovereignty. Mostly looked to Norway for support because most of its landed settlers from 874's initial settlement were of that ancestry. This affiliation became a legal tie in the 1200s but 'control' largely switched to the more populous Denmark when the two countries had a shared monarchy and Norway suffered a near 50% death rate from its first attack of the Black Plague in 1347-50.
Iceland remained a largely ignored & self governing stepchild till the Protestant Reformation when Denmark forced conversion to Lutheranism, the state church of Denmark (1550). This caused the expected upset and resistance against the imported and heavy-handed Danish clergy and their armed protectors. The last Roman Catholic Bishop of Iceland was beheaded in 1550 along with his 2 sons (wry grin!)
Over the next 200 years Denmark exercised a much stronger control but provided little support when slavers raided with near impunity and when a smallpox epidemic in the 1700s killed near 1-in-3 residents. A further disaster from a massive eruption of the Laki Volcano in 1783 caused a famine with a near 25% death toll (percentage deaths greater than the Irish Potato Famine!)
Iceland strived for its own independence from Denmark from the end of the Napoleonic Wars (1814) to making a 25 year negotiated break with self-governance while Denmark retained foreign affairs in 1918. Final recognized independence was achieved at the end of that period in 1944 with Iceland establishing a parliamentarian government.
Good thing John McCain wasn’t flying it.
They think we’re the walmart heap of dummies ... and I think they are so deep in their elite ignorance that they will never see the light of day. they are so fake and live in lies... that they do not know a truth when it’s out there to see and behold.
