In an appearance on FNC's "MediaBuzz," pollster Frank Luntz shares his finding that the term "capitalism" no longer polls well with the American people and predicts that Senator Bernie Sanders is the most likely to win the Democratic nomination for president with a message of democratic socialism.
"It is not that principles are dead, in fact, the principles of economic freedom are alive and well," Luntz explained. "But capitalism itself has been so demonized by media that... if you want to oppose socialism you oppose it by talking about freedom, not capitalism."
HOWARD KURTZ, FOX NEWS: An exclusive first look at a poll about socialism versus capitalism. It turns out the ideas pushed by Democrats such as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may have lots of support in their party, while capitalism isn't polling so well.
Frank Luntz found in an online survey of 1,000 people that 52% of Hillary Clinton voters agree with the statement "I prefer living in a socialist country to a capitalist one," against just 16% of Donald Trump voters. Asked about the AOC proposal to impose a 70% tax on the top 1% of taxpayers, 79% Clinton voters agree, and so do 46% of Trump voters. And veteran Republican pollster Frank Luntz joins us now. Before we get to more numbers, is the media kind of soft on socialism? I mean favorable press to Democrats like Bernie Sanders and AOC, being tough on flaws of capitalism, the excesses of big corporations.

Problem is Sanders is no real Democrat so not sure he will be allowed to go all the way.
We need some good old fashioned trust busting and a reasonably regulated free market.Corporatism breeds a reactionary socialism.
If the commies think they need an old fashioned Dem to win, they will choose Biden and add a running mate like Hogzilla Abrams. Otherwise, it will be Bernie/Hogzilla or Bernie/Kameltoe.
It could conceivably be Bernie/Buttboy.
I am an old-fashioned capitalist and I like trust-busting.
There will be no Democrat primary winner. Our politics is about to take a turn that many of you don’t think it will. By the end of this year you will see why.
Until Bernie’s bought off with another vacation home.
How would these idiots know that?
“It is not that principles are dead, in fact, the principles of economic freedom are alive and well,” Luntz explained. “But capitalism itself has been so demonized by media that... if you want to oppose socialism you oppose it by talking about freedom, not capitalism.”

He may be right, unfortunately.
Thats a good post. Theres a huge difference between capitalism and the corporate fascism that is the prevailing economic model in this country. A truly capitalist country would not be $22 trillion in debt right now.
The way they pulled out all the stops to keep Bernie from the nomination in 2016 makes me think they will find a way to derail him again. Meanwhile Hillary seems to be popping up ...
One other issue is the burdensome regulations placed on businesses. A company like Wal-Mart welcomes more regulations because it crushes the competition that cannot afford to spend millions per year to comply. Another issue is how companies like Amazon can make sweetheart deals with the post office to ship well below what any other company could get. If two separate private companies colluded in such a way there would be congressional hearings in an instant.
when will he declare he is a member of the Democrat Party ( Only For Now)
But they are.
The rats need his followers for votes. They can't afford to alienate them by taking him out with the skulduggery Hillary used last time.
This will be fun to watch.
Bernie Sanders signs DNC loyalty pledge: ‘I am a member of the Democratic Party’

WASHINGTON Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has formally declared himself a member of the Democratic Party as he seeks its presidential nomination in 2020, abiding by new Democratic National Committee rules.
“I am a member of the Democratic Party,” reads the statement to the DNC that Sanders signed and notarized Tuesday. It also asserts that Sanders will serve as a Democrat if elected president and that the DNC can determine who is “a bonafide Democrat.”
If he is declared to be a Democrat candidate why is he an I-ndependent in Senate?
They would deny it but snowflakes want their daddy.
Daddy takes care of everything for snowflake so snowflake elects daddy.
Geez Louise, can we at least get a TICK TOCK ?
