On Tuesday's broadcast of MSNBC's Morning Joe, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) said Democrats must take advantage of "public outcry against the [Trump] administration]." Kaine said Democrats must fight back in Congress, the courts, and in the streets.
"What we've got to do is fight in Congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets, fight online, fight at the ballot box, and now there's the momentum to be able to do this," Kaine said to Democrats. "And we're not afraid of the popular outcry, we're energized by it and that's going to help us do our job and do it better."
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: So, broad question about the future of the Democratic Party, especially given your firsthand experience with what we've all been through. There's so much going on here that we clearly see, you know, places where you -- we can criticize what the administration is doing, but how does the party rebuild? How do you prevent overreach in a situation like this? How do you prevent a continuation of the bubble in a situation like this, and how does the party reclaim its reach across the country while fighting these battles?
SEN. KAINE: Well, let me talk about continuation of the bubble, Mika. This is something I'm so excited about. I saw that Howard Dean tweeted at me the other day, "Tim, the base is getting ahead of the leaders." That's exactly backward. We are so excited that the American public is energized to speak out against the abuses of this administration....

I’m okay with democrats fighting in the streets. Just leave the republicans out of it. And don’t destroy any property.
Even though he hadn’t been there that long, Kaine is just another great example of why term limits are necessary.
Also, if for nothing else than to prove you THINK you have a chance to win, if you are the selected person to run for a higher office, you should quit your present position in order to give yourself plenty of time to prepare yourself for the next office AND let someone replace you that will look out for your constituents while you are looking out for yourself.
Politically, there was a lot(for me) not to like about Bob Dole, but he took that exact tack.

Gun and ammo sales have not diminished since Pres. Trump was elected. He won’t solve these hideous divisions, and may have to be the one to lead us into battle.
