While Romney who called Trump a “phony” and talked openly about derailing his candidacy during the campaign had an actual job attached to the meeting with his former nemesis on Saturday, Cruz’s visit was billed as more of a drop-by.
It’s true that after the name-calling between Cruz and Trump (who tagged him “Lyin’ Ted’) during the primary campaign; after Trump’s derogatory comments about Cruz’s wife; after Trump’s suggestion that Cruz’s father had a role in the JFK assassination; and after Cruz neglected to endorse Trump at the Republican National convention, they did in the end come together. In September, Cruz finally endorsed Trump and campaigned for him....

Agreed. He quit very abruptly after a photograph of his father was released passing out flyers with Oswald. If his father did work for the CIA, even peripherally, no way. Trump will get people on it that can figure if the image is really Rafael.

I speculate there is a real chance this will happen quickly. We are aware that he met in Trump tower for 5 hours. Why? He was with Trump over an hour. This is the Scalia seat. I was a Trump guy but I admired Cruz staunch constitutional fights in the Senate.I would be elated if he was our pick on day one. This would be a bomb shell in the communist head quarters that we deserve in our fight to save this country. I urge and support Ted Cruz for SCOTUS NOW!! This is the Scalia seat!! Stop with this garbage. Trump said nothing unforgivable about Ms Cruz. On the other hand a Cruz campaign spokeswoman said disgraceful things about Melania Cruz, that began the whole wife issue, in March 2016.
Ms Cruz has said and published things that no conservative should be on board with. Her & his long time associations with Goldman Sachs & the lies, mischaracterizations & omissions in Cruz’s campaigns should give any objective person pause. For Trump to say that “wives should be off limits remember there are things I could say”, or words to that effect, was a restrained and factual statement referring to the Goldman Sachs connection.
Since Ms Cruz repeatedly said “they” were running her past position statements and employment record are relevant.
