Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, has launched a historic bid to win the deeply Republican state of Texas in a bid to destroy Donald Trump's chances of becoming president.
Mrs Clinton committed $1.5 million to begin running television advertisements in the Lone Star state, which is usually ignored by Democratic presidential nominees who have not won it for 40 years.
Texas has 38 votes in the presidential electoral college, the second biggest number of any state after California. A candidate needs 270 to win.
Targeting Texas amounted to a political "decapitation strategy" by taking the biggest Republican state....

The Telegraph knows nothing about the United States. They’re more out of it than The Guardian!
“Im thinking Hillary figures the voting machines are locked up for her in Texas, so she better make it LOOK likes its in play.”
Ask abortion Barbie about that. She got 39%.
Two points: It could be psyops. Remember Cheney having a rally in Hawaii? Also, how many Texas media markets bleed over into New Mexico? NM is becoming a battleground—Pence was there this week.
The ONLY way she takes Texas is if too many conservatives divide their votes between Johnson and Castle instead of voting for trump.
1.5 M in a state as geographically large as TX? Maybe Im
wrong but dont see that as a major buy
************
Keep in mind there are pockets in Texas that are democrat controlled.
And there maybe a few Rep races, etc where they think some money could help.
Otherwise like you I don’t see this as a major buy.
And Dallas along with the southern border cities.
It's happening here, we have 94 million out of the workforce, Foodstamps all time high, Poverty level all time high, over 600 folks killed in Chicago alone, home ownership lowest in over 50 years, and over 20 Trillion in debt. But somehow, half of the country wants to continue down that path and think everything is hunk dory, while we burn.
It won't make a difference. Trump is not going to carry New York and Clinton is not going to carry Texas. If Trump can carry Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio then he is president and he doesn't need New York. All of those are far more winnable than New York ever could be so he would be well served to concentrate there.
The propaganda here is hillary is so steamrolling Trump that she may even take Texas!
There has been vote fraud for decades in the Rio Grande Valley, and that is why the Texas GOP made it a top issue. Ever since the Republican Party became the majority party in the state, it has gone after known and suspected vote fraud rackets. There have been not only charges filed, but people have convicted and sent to prison. Recently, another Democrat vote fraud ring has been uncovered in Dallas.
TX is a distraction. A minuscule ad buy is the tip off. If Hillary thought TX were in play, she would be down there herself campaigning. Watch where the campaigns are holding rallies and that will tell you what the target states are.
Why not? It worked out so well for Governor Wendy Davis. Oh, wait.......
Is this before or after they secede when she gets in offi...wait that doesn’t work. Maybe they want to secede so bad that they’re going to vote for her to make sure they have a reason..../s
All the illegals in New Mexico probably registered to vote in Lubbock while abusing the hospitals emergency room services.
Yep, it’s all over. Hillary voters can stay home.
Hillary has been running ads here for many months already.
Look at the list of countries freer than the US:

The list grows longer every year.
Canada is #5!
Chile seems attractive. Real estate is cheap and it is on the verge of becoming a developed country.
